He asked that we turn the AC off but run the fans, and he would be there the next morning between 8-9.
The next day, he was here at 8:15 and let us know that the unit had caught on fire at some point. He replaced the air compressor, burnt wires and replenished the freon.
I don't know of any HVAC service that you could get in contact with after hours, speak with the owner, be there the following morning, and repair the unit for such a fair price.
