From The ground Up

I hired “From The Ground Up” (owners Jason and William) to trim my trees and remove a dead tree. The initial agreement was that he would remove the branches and cut the trunk of the tree into fireplace length pieces and neatly stack the wood. Once the tree was down, he inform me that the only wood he would remove would basically be wood that had leaves attached. He inform me that large limbs coming off the trunk were not branches. He demand more money to remove the wood. I agree that I would pay extra to remove any wood that had a diameter greater than eight inches and he gave me a written quote. I paid him for the original quoted work even though he still had clean up to do (I know big mistake). He call the following day complaining that the quote to remove the wood was not enough. He wanted more. I said we could discuss it when he came to finish the original work that I paid for. Big surprise, he never showed up. I now have wood all over the place some in a pile, some loosely stacked and some floating in Lake Norman (which I have removed). He did a nice job trimming the trees. If you like a mess and being pressured to pay more, hire these guys. They did do a nice job trimming the trees. Just as I asked but now I need to hire someone to finish the claen up part of the job I paid for. Lesson learn.
