The work performed on my 1993 Ford Ranger pickup truck was excellent all around. It now runs like an almost new truck.



The folks at Rainey's Automotive are highly competent, knowledgeable, courteous, and thorough, and their prices are very fair and reasonable. I highly recommend them to any and all.

Rainey's always does thorough research to make the correct repairs and contact us if the parts are going to be uber expensive to let us decide whether to move forward with repairs (on those repairs that are optional!). If a repair or replacement MUST be done they shop their resources to get the best prices.

We live in Atlanta. Our son attends Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, some 300 miles away. On the way home for spring break his car (a 1996 Oldsmobile Ciera station wagon) overheated and broke down in Lenoir NC, a small city with which we were totally unfamiliar. Not knowing what else to try, I joined Angie's list in an effort to identify a reliable auto repair shop. Several shops turned up in the area, among them Rainey's, which had a number of positive reviews. I chose Jim Rainey to handle the work based on the reviews, but also because we "hit it off" when we spoke over the telephone. He was sincerely sympathetic to our plight -- old car needing major repairs in a strange city - and totally upfront about the costs we could expect to incur and the prognosis for successful repairs. He was true to his word, and I have no reservations in recommending this shop for automotive repairs.

They are real convenient to my work and they've always done a good job. I met him at church and he always does really, really good work for us.
