James and Sandra painted half of our 3 bedroom house 4 years ago and we didn't hesitate to call them when we were ready to paint again.  We are retirees with multiple renovation projects under our belts and both agree that they are the best painters we've ever encountered.  With 50 years combined experience (James has 30 yrs. and Sandra has 20 yrs.) in painting, they are masters at their craft.  I still marvel at the quality of the work they did for us.  The line between the walls and the crown molding is razor sharp. The same is true for the perimeters of doors and windows.  Being professionals, they pay great attention to prep work before they start painting.  They fill holes, sand rough areas and caulk gaps.   I'm ashamed to admit that I've been described by some contractors as  'expecting perfection", but I'm proud to say the Wards have always exceeded my expectations in the quality of their work.  When they finished the garage, my husband joked that it looked like an upscale living room.
They've painted the homes and commercial establishments of many of asheville"s business owners but they're always open to small jobs and simple homes like ours.  They're humble people with good values and exemplary work ethic.  They show up on time, work consistently throughout the day and their prices are  more than fair.  You almost hate to see them go when the job is done.  They paint interiors , exteriors, caulk and pressure wash.
