KING MECHANICAL SVC

Tech hooked up testing equipment and said he added 10 oz of R22. Looked at the unit upstairs, and cleaned the outside unit. Said all the cooling reading were at the correct temps. Said he put more R22 in and now a bill for 2 lbs of R22 and still NOT putting out any colder or more air. Tech said, "System doing all that it can do." After doing some research of my own and troubleshooting the problem it was a $35 part. The Fan motor relay circuit board had shorted causing the fan to run all the time and not sending the proper signal to other components. I replaced the circuit board relay and instantly everything works perfect. The difference in the return and supply is 14-16 degrees as required. I don't know why this tech could not trouble shoot the problem to start with. My suggestion is to look at the scale when they start charging the unit if they are going to put any in and what the end weight is when done. Otherwise you're just taking their word for it. Not saying he did put 2 lbs in but it was working fine prior to the fan running all the time and not cooling and there is NO freon leak. So I get a bill for 2 lbs of R22 at 150.00 plus a $75 service call for a tech that couldn't even diagnose the correct problem to start with.

I have no complaints. I called them when the ice maker went out, and called them again when my freezer quit working. They were very good, and prompt.

I would definitely use them again. They were quick to fix my problem, even though that’s not why I called them. I didn’t know I had the other problem. They came to clean and service the air conditioner, that’s what I made the appointment for. It ended up that my furnace lost it’s bearings. It was making a funny noise. I told him and asked him to look at it. It had lost the bearings on the blower. He fixed that before he cleaned the air conditioner. He didn’t have to fix it that day for me, but he did. I really appreciated it, because it was very hot. So they went above and beyond and they didn’t charge me a service fee to fix it for me. They came out the morning after I called them. He told me before had that they bearings were around $400, so he didn’t charge and arm and a leg to fix it for me.

King mechanical came out gave estimate sold us on best unit because of lifetime warranty. Did not tell us any repairs had to be done by King mechanical no other company. I have made countless phone calls to owner, most recently for him to look at one room that gets cold in winter an hot in summer. That was a month ago...have not heard from him. So I thought the best thing is let people know how he is or should I say IS NOT!!!!!

They were very efficient, as non-invasive as possible, and they have always been very personable and willing to explain what they were doing. The units have performed flawlessly for the three years they have been installed, and my heating and cooling bills have been decreased.

They?ve performed regular maintenance and installed a new unit about two years ago. I really like how responsive they are. Whenever I call them, they arrive at my house within one or two hours. I?ve thoroughly enjoyed working with them, and will continue to do so.
