Several weeks ago I was searching for a technician that could save my Desktop computer, which was an older one running XP which I was very happy with. It had been down for several weeks and I was told the motherboard had failed and the computer was not fixable. A friend suggested OBCR as they are on Angie's Llist. I called and spoke with Tim Lusk and made an appointment for the following week when I would be in that area. However by that time my Laptop had conrtacted a bad virus and wasn't working either. OBCR removed several bad viruses from my Laptop, was able to save all my information and installed a much better virus scan and the Laptop runs a lot faster. They replaced the hard drive in my Desktop but were unable to use the back-up unit I had because it was improperly installed. They spent a lot of time trying to remedy the problem with the manufacturer but to no avail. At that point I was going to go for a refurbished Windows 7 to match my Laptop. As it turned out I elected to have them BUILD ME A BRAND NEW computer running Windows 7 and that is what I ended up with.
Both Tim Lusk and Andy Parker were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, professional and patient, explaining things to me and getting me up and running with a new computer that I love and a Laptop that is working just fine. They spent a lot of time making sure that things were the way I wanted them to be on both computers, they were very helpful!. I highly recommend Outer Banks Computer Repair!
