Windstream has the best price for what you get. I would say it's good. If you do have a problem, they're very responsive. It's not difficult to get it corrected if there's a problem.

We used them before and had the Internet turned off about 6 months ago, when the modem started acting up...they wanted us to pay for new equipment so we decided it wasn't that important to us. We'll see how long the new modem lasts and if we're happy this time.

We have been Windstream customers for 5 years. They have consistently not provided the service for which we pay. We were at 6MB for the first 3 years. We were constantly having outages, daily drops, and dips in service. They send a service technician out every 6 months or so, indicate the cause is new equipment, or needing new equipment, and give us a new modem.
2 years ago they said we would get better service if we upgraded to 12MB. Same issues. The service drops daily. Fine one minute and out the next. The modems constantly reset. They have to come out and replace the modems every 6 months. I request a price break for the poor service and they say no.
The latest issue - on Jan 3 2014 the service was really bad. So I called. They reset the modem and the service was fine for about 5 minutes. Then we were back to getting download speeds of .4MB I called again. They reset the modem again. We got 12MB for about 5 minutes then we were down to about 1.8MB. Jan 4 same thing. They said they would have someone come out on Monday. We got another new modem. Same problems. Now they are saying they didn't plan properly and the equipment can't keep up with demand. They don't have an ETA to resolve the issue. We call every day with the same issue. They keep saying they are looking into the issue, but they can't tell us when it will be resolved or when we will get the service we are paying for.

I wanted a landline dedicated to the house because I have an alarm system and the cellular phones don't always work with the alarm system. I have been using them for 18 years and I have had no trouble.

I've been using them for 9 years. I have been relatively satisfied. There have been some issues with upgrading the internet. It took a lot longer than I would have wanted but otherwise their landline services have always been very good. Their customer service reps are very friendly and helpful.
