They've been providing pest management services to my house for over 10 years. Initially they just sprayed in and around the house. Later we added mosquito treatments. When we moved we added termite bait stations. I like that they use child and pet friendly chemicals. I haven't shopped around, but when others have knocked on my door to try to get my business, they couldn't beat Superior's price. Add to that they are easy to do business with, and they know what they are doing. I expect to keep using them for years to come.

I inherited these guys from the previous owners, in 2013. Trouble started when they lost a member of the family or someone close who used to come by and was very professional. In 2015 they had to come twice (after repeated phone calls) just to get rid of ants, and they begrudged that. It used to be one trip to clear up the ants, and that was within 24 hours of a phone call. They changed receptionists too in that time, and the new one is miserable.
They charged me late fees WHILE adding regular service visits totaling $456.20 without sending me a single notice of late fees in email. The owner, David Buoniconti, was short with me and provided terrible customer service in emails, and I canceled my account due to their customer service and poor professionalism.
I would never use them again, and will stick with Terminix (which I used for a decade in Greensboro) for better customer service and a better price on long-term treatment. Would never use Superior Pest again.
Update: They sent me a letter from their attorney warning me to stop posting "false statements about its business practices online" and giving me 15 days to respond or else. I assume that means Angie's List, and I sent back a reply stating that I refused to comply, and that they could sue me for posting reviews and telling the truth. Obviously Superior Pest doesn't want its unprofessional behavior talked about. I notice that the vendor's response makes no note of the multiple times I called for simple ant eradication, and note that they lost my business over a simple late fee. I had no problems with Terminix in over a decade of service. Wish I had never inherited Superior Pest!

"Our company has provided several general pest control services at the customers home with out having any issues with service or payment. The customer called with an issue with ants in an area of the home and a technician was sent out to address the issue. The technician informed the customer that soapy water was the best means of cleaning up after an ant infestation because cleaning products can smear the pheromone trail that ants leave when they locate a food source. This explains why ants found trailing in a straight line before cleaning with a chemical cleaning product are later found in unorganized foraging mode. Clorox was not blamed for causing the ant infestation but rather for the reason why they were no longer in the trail. The ants were eliminated by our technicians service. When the next scheduled service date came around the customer was home at the time of her requested schedule date and time. The service was provided to all exterior areas and an invoice was left on her door, like it had been in the past. The customer called and stated that she only felt responsible for half of her contractual amount since she only had the outside serviced the last time. When it was explained that she requested the date and time of service and was not home at that time, she then brought up the ant issue. I then called the customer to discuss the issue and agreed to reduce her balance due by 50%. She was happy with our agreement and then cancelled her service at a later date due to financial reasons. Her canceling her service was NOT a direct result of an ant infestation or a technicians statement. Her business failed and she was having financial difficulties. This customers review was also provided almost a year after her service agreement was canceled with my company."

Very impressed!! Initially, I found out I had termites in a small section of my crawl space when doing an inspection with another company. Had several companies quote the job, but just wasn't happy with their proposed treatment plan. My realtor recommended Superior Pest Management. David came out and did a full termite inspection (free of charge). He was very patient with me as I inundated him with lots of questions. He took the time to explain everything really well so that it made sense. His price was very fair. Not the cheapest, but definitely not the most expensive. The day of treatment, David (and Josh) showed up on time, took the time to walk me through what they were doing and finished the job within the timeframe promised. They also did a very good job of cleaning up. Also, very professional and provided me with all of the documentation via email immediately. I would highly recommend this company!

Superior is an appropriate name for this company. I contacted 3 services (all on Angie's list) regarding treatment for termites (evidence had been found in an inspection). The 1st company explained their high price was due to their use of Termidor, saying it would last 20 years ... but their contract reserved the right to re-treat, at my expense, after 5 years. The 2nd company (which also uses Termidor) had no such limitation, but their yearly fee for monitoring (done quarterly) amounted to more than the 1st company's treatment + 5 year's monitoring fees. Superior also uses Termidor and was the only one that found I also had an infestation of carpenter ants. Plus, they were much more professional in their inspection and explaining various aspects of the work. And the job they did was much more thorough than what the others proposed. Yet their cost for the initial treatment was less than the 1st company and in line with the 2nd; their yearly monitoring fee was competitive with the 1st company's. I found the owner, David, to be trustworthy and feel really good about giving them my business here on out.

Great! They came out on the same day. The ants are gone. We have been using Superior for several years and have been very happy. They call us quarterly to set up service appointments which is very helpful. They are always professional and friendly. They also check for termimites when we request it at no additional charge.

As always, the service was great. The technician was on time. He called ahead as well. The technician was very professional. They use shoe covers to not track dirt into your house. They use pet-friendly chemicals. We have been using Superior since we moved into our house 4 years ago. They are a great company to work with. If you have an pest problem that comes up in between your quarterly maintenance, they are quick to respond and get the issue taken care of.

Superior Pest provided an excellent detailed inspection of residential property, looking for past, present and risk of future pest damage in connection with a proposed home purchase. The report contained photo documentation of the issues and recommendations for solving them - exactly what was needed. David also provided a verbal commentary as I followed him around the property; he was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. David and his team were prompt, courteous and accomodating of our specific needs. Highly recommended.

There's nothing that I dislike about them. They're very friendly and they never miss an appointment. They're always on time. If I have a contract with them, they repair the damage done. I've never compared their price to anyone else. I will absolutely use them again in the future if I need to.

I pay them yearly. Bugs don't really come around after they do the pest control. If I do see them, I call them and they come out within a couple of days to take care of it. They are pretty responsive and they do a good job. They are relatively inexpensive. They answer all my questions. I have three dogs and so whatever they lay it's good and not harmful. They give you a two hour window, but they are usually here within that time. I would use their services again in the future.

They are always professional and prompt. They will return for a follow-up treatment if more bugs are seen shortly after a treatment without a charge. It's been a rare occasion that I've needed to call them back. Usually I don't see anything, alive or dead, between treatments - just the way I want it!

We have had a difficult ant problem and have previously used a "big name" company in Charlotte for many years with no success. After finally giving up on our ant problem, and being resigned to co-habitating with the ants, we called Superior Pest. The owner, David Buoniconti, was very responsive and up-front about the services that he could provide. He came to the home on-time and we felt comfortable enough to leave him in there alone while we took our kids out for the day. He sprayed inside and out, and amazingly, we've had a complete resolution of our ant problem after just one treatment. David has answered all my questions patiently, and everytime I call, the phone is answered by David or his wife. No run-arounds, long phone waiting times, endless menus, etc. Note: The price of $700 includes one year (first year) of all inclusive service for pest and termites. Subsequent years are less expensive. When comparison shopping, this is a very reasonable price.

I used Superior Pest at a previous property, and was happy with their professionalism and treatment methods. However, I requested only exterior treatment for a rental property and asked about a discounted rate (from the normal $75/visit). Their office told me it was not negotiable. Didn't seem fair as the they used less chemicals, and were only on-site a few minutes every 3 months. For the cabin, I specifically requested that the office confirm with me verbally prior to arranging the quarterly visit to insure someone would be home (for indoor treatment as well as exterior treatment). They left a voicemail while we were away for the week; showed up; only treated the outside of the property and billed me full price (another $75). I wrote them a termination letter explaining I thought it was unfair; never heard a peep from them.

"All reoccurring treatments i.e. quarterly treatments come with a warranty. If insects show up (inside or out) we return at no additional cost. Therefore there is no "discount" for a service that our techs are either not allowed to or can not gain access to the interior of a property. It is communicated to all customers at the time of initial treatment as well as written in our service agreements that is signed by all customers, that all future treatments consists of exterior treatment around all entry points (windows & doors), up three to four feet on the home & out away from the home (up to ten feet). Interior service can be provided at each scheduled visit for no additional cost; however someone would need to be home to grant entry. Our office also asks all customers of their preferred means of communication i.e. phone numbers or email. We exhaust every mean of communication in order to notify customers of their service date and time and do so 48 hours in advance of this scheduled service date. This gives customers time to contact our office if there are any problems with the scheduled service appointment. Our services are priced to maintain a pest free environment around and in our customer’s properties, not according of the amount of chemical that is applied at a particular service. If any customer has a problem, we return to address it. We do not charge more because we are using more chemical. I feel that this report is an unfair representation of the services that our company provides."
