About us
We provide our own cleaning materials with the exception of the vacuum. It is better to use a vacuum that is already on the premises for health reasons. Payment is due upon completion of a job. However, if you are living out of state and own a property here that you are renting, we will send you a bill via email. Payment must be received within 10 business days or a $10 late fee applies.

I feel fortunate to have found this company to clean. They have always showed up and we have had no complaints from our renters over the many years of service. I would recommend them for a cleaning service. We have found them hard working, dependable and priced fairly.

I switched to A Plus from another provider about 7 years ago and it was a great decision. Then clean my house about 35 times in an average year. My renters often compliment the house on it cleanliness. Every time I stay in the house I am impressed with how clean it is. If there is ever an issue the Owner, Dottie, is super responsive and makes it right. I recommend without hesitation

Dottie and company arrived on time and there was good communication concerning my needs. They cleaned all the areas I wanted and did a good job. I will be using them again.

Again, she is very nice and professional. Her walk through and estimates were reasonable and the conversation was easy.
She does private residence, rental properties and I understand businesses. Her first time to clean was just what we wanted and
done very well. As time went by I noticed the quality went a bit down hill. I believe she has a great reputation and word travels fast on the Outer Banks, the down side of that is we get in a hurry to get to everyone and am unwilling to say no. We were not able to be present at any time my house was being cleaned. I also was not concerned regarding petty theft. I believe her intentions are do a good job for her clients. I would recommend a small amount of supervision and a much more detailed description of the duties expected. I have a 4 bedroom 3 bath home. It can't be cleaned properly in a hour and a half or 2 hours.
In conclusion, She has the ability and desire to do a good job at a somewhat reasonable price. I suggest supervision of some sort
and detailed cleaning requirements with opened ended pro and con critique.

"Thank you for the semi good rating. This was 8 years ago and I can assure you that I was definitely not the one who cleaned your house every week. I have cleaners who help and they are indeed sometimes in a hurry even though I tell them to take their time and do a good job. Yes, our weekends are busy but that is still no excuse. They should always do a good job. We are human and do make mistakes but never, ever are our bathrooms or kitchens missed. I am not concerned about a cobweb being missed or a dust bunny. My main focus is on germs!"

Dottie came and gave me an estimate and set up a time. For spring clean she brought a co-worker. It was a big mess and they worked with me. Great experience to know while you are doing one job she is competently working in another part of the house. Bi-weekly clean is about $90 depending on house size. Dottie has been extremely flexible in working with my schedule. She is professional and personable. I have extreme confidence with Dottie in my home when I am not there. She lives in our community and works in the whole Currituck County area. Weekends are reserved for Beach Cottage cleaning. Hire this lady, she is wonderful!
