We bought our Honda Pilot in 2008. Since then we have experienced nothing but headaches with the service department. From over charging and installing wrong parts to damaging the car and blaming us. We are not alone either. Friends of ours have experienced the same problems with this service department. The service package that was sold to us, and explained at the time of sale, was NOT what we actually got. Every time I submitted a negative survey, I was told how I hurt the department and I was being overly harsh. When a company breaks cars on lifts or damages a wiper during a wash then blames the customer, yes, I will be harsh in a survey, and I will not be apologetic if the survey affects their income.

Bottom line, take great caution with their service department and expect the absolute minimum. In fact, in is like pulling teeth to make them do what is on the contract/service plan agreement. When our and quot;freeand quot; oil changes are done, we will sever all ties with Lejeune Honda and we will neither return nor recommend this dealer to anyone.

DISCLOSURE: We've had problems in the past with the LeJeune Honda Service Department. We were erroneously charged for work we should not have been charged for and we've had 2 transmission failures. BUT THIS TIME WAS DIFFERENT. This time, Larry C. Morgan, the new Service Manager, and Anna Griffey, Service Consultant, met with us; gave us a plan for making the required repairs at no charge to us; provided us with financial credits for work that was covered under warranty for which we were charged; and provided us with documentation on all warranties on work performed. It was clear from the first meeting with Larry that there is a new approach to service work at LeJeune Honda and that Larry is committed to service quality and excellent customer support. He assigned our case to Anna Griffey who stayed on top of everything and kept us informed of progress -- very important given that we were leaving on a 1,000 mile trip just 2 days after our initial meeting with Larry. Larry and Anna made sure the car was ready for the trip. They took our safety and the children's safety as seriously as we did. And, they took the same serious approach to the work performed. Quite honestly, I was apprehensive about going back to LeJeune Honda given our past bad experiences. But, now, thanks to Larry's leadership, I am giving his operation a 100% rating without any reservations. If you've had problems in the past with this dealership and service department -- please give them a try again. You won't be disappointed and Larry and Anna will go the extra mile to make sure you get the quality repair and service and customer support you deserve.

They are great and their prices are good. They are very professional and provide great customer service. Their customer service stands out to me. I had an issue with my car, and they told me to come back and they would check it for free the following week, if I was still having an issue. They would work on it for me. I've been to them twice now.

I came to Lejeune Honda to look into a trade in on a used van. Coincidentally the exact van we were looking for had been a trade in that same day but had not yet undergone any of the standard maintenance and clean up procedures. We came back the next day to see it in day light once it had been cleaned up a bit. After being promised that it would still be thoroughly cleaned and scratches attended to by an auto body professional we agreed to purchase. They offered us an amazing trade in value and fair price on the van. It took some finagling but we were able to get an acceptable APR (we borrowed in house) which should not have been a difficult task considering our excellent credit rating. After the paperwork was signed I was under the assumption we'd be taking our sedan home and returning once the maintenance and appearance work had been completed but they handed us the van keys and said congratulations. I immediately asked what the plan was regarding the unfinished work on the vehicle and was assured we would be very well taken care very quickly. I was told my salesman would contact me in the morning to schedule all the work that needed to be done. I wasn't happy with this because I had three car seats I knew I'd be taking in and out, in and out, but went a long because we really needed that extra space ASAP. The maintenance inspection was scheduled next day and went smoothly although it did take an hour longer than promised; no big deal. The body work and interior detail was scheduled a few days later. My salesman brought a loaner vehicle to my home the evening before to accommodate my need for transportation the day of. The van needed to stay an extra day due to low temperatures and paint issues so I kept the loaner another day. When I returned to pick up the van I immediately noticed it had not been cleaned in any way and there was still a large scratch that had not been repaired as promised. At this point I had already removed the three car seats and children that go with them from the loaner to go back into the van. I asked for a manager and explained that the van should have gotten a detail and pointed out the scratch. The manager apologized and assured me they'd get it right next time. I had to take the van because it would be days before they could get it back in. That day finally arrived and my salesman again brought me the loaner. The next day he returned with my van which AGAIN had not been detailed. A few of the specific things I'd pointed out had been cleaned but only these specific things. No professional detail. I had him wait while I phoned the manager and arranged to bring it back in for a third time. I dropped it off that evening and returned the next to a much cleaner van but still in no way professionally cleaned. I was very open about my dissatisfaction but said that after three tries this was the best it'd looked and I would accept it. This was the worst auto purchase experience I've ever had.

I made an appointment for 1pm. I expected that it would take approximately 30-40 minutes to get it done. At 2:20, I asked how much longer and they hadn't even started making the keys. I left approximately 2:45. They eventually offered me my next service on my Honda for free because of the trouble. They also called me up to explain what had happened. The technician cut several keys wrong. I would have appreciated them letting me know that while the problem was going on instead of telling me later.
