I called this provider first thing on Monday morning. Our heat pump (provides heat or AC in the south) had iced over on Sunday and now would not restart. Our work order was put in the queue and we were advised that a technician would probably not be available on Tuesday.
Tuesday, as promised, a technician arrived and within minutes let us know that the motor on our heat pump had died. He told me that they might have one at the shop but otherwise they would have to order one. I consider this perfectly normal during the summer. A shop just cannot keep enough of the right parts on hand at all times. I thanked him for telling me the facts and we spent another blistering night at the house.
My husband and I decided that if it was going to take longer than Wednesday to get the heat pump repaired, we would purchase a small air conditioner for the bedroom. On Wednesday morning (today), just 30 minutes after the shop opened, I received a call letting me know that a motor was available and the technician would be out today. The same technician arrived and replaced the motor within 15 minutes. He told me that his boss had brought the motor to him on the boss's way to another location so that it could be placed in my system that day.
What outstanding service! They did their work as fast as humanly possible just before Independence Day and while Tropical Storm (almost a Hurricane) Arthur was approaching. I can't thank them enough for their response.
I had already priced the Trane Dual Capacitor on the Internet before the technician arrived and expected to pay about $29-39 for the part. I had already troubleshot the problem and suspected the capacitor was faulty before he arrived. I was unable to find a local shop that had the capacitor in stock and felt it would be quicker for me to use a contractor to get the unit serviced. I called and left a message with an employee for the Manager to contact me about the charges, but never received a call back.
