Ethridge Furniture Showrooms

I shopped around the Jacksonville are for new couch and chair. I settled on Ethridge because they had the style that I was looking for. Had problems in the past with cheap furniture. They never last more than a few years, especially with my frequent transfers (military). I specifically asked the saleswoman if the furniture was made in China. She said no they were made in USA. Long story, short. Furniture was delivered. I Inspected for visible damage and everything looked good. Signed the delivery acceptance and sent them on their way. Later I realized that I did not inspect under the furniture to make sure everything was good. I checked under both pieces and in my face were large tags reading "made in China". It is near impossible for me now to deal with trying to return this furniture and shopping for replacements as I start a new job soon, so I'll have to see how it goes. I broke my own rule of not handing over large sums of money to anyone who works on commission without THOROUGHLY researching the product I'm purchasing. I did this in a hurry and now I'll have to cross my fingers that it doesn't cost me in the long run. There is a warranty, but it still sucks if you have to deal with getting anything fixed if something goes wrong, especially if you're busy. So beware, do your homework when going here. Especially if you're looking for halfway decent furniture. Even if it was an honest mistake on the part of the salesperson (much of this brand's furniture is assembled in US), their ignorance of certain details can still cost you.
