It went really well. Bill corrected the mistake of another estimate by determining the actual size of the air handling unit that was needed. It was installed for the price of the estimate and they cleaned up completely after their work. All of this was done over the telephone because we live a distance away.

My upstairs AC unit was blowing warm air. I contacted Davis Heating and AC about 4:30PM on the July 8th. Mr Davis mentioned that he could come out the following morning, we agreed.Mr Davis called me back about 20 mins later, mentioned that someone cancelled and if it was o.k. he could come out on the service in about 10 mins. 10 mins later he pulled into my drive. He took a look at the unit, tested the capacitor and determined that it had failed. He got a replacement from his truck, replaced it, mentioned that it's working properly, gave me a quick education on the unit and it's function. Asked if I was military. I said, and quot;yesand quot;, retired. He said, and quot;you get a discountand quot;. I payed him, we talked for a moment and he left.
He was professional, smart, and knew his business.
I did mention to him that I found him on Angies List.

we had recently moved into our house and were concerned about the amount of water around our heat pump. I called Davis and explained I had never owned a house witth a heat pump and was unfamilirar with its workings. He told me how to check if the water was normal to avoid a service call but I told him I still preferred that he come and do an inspection which he did. He did a complete inspection of the outside unit and the unit in the attic explaining all the while about the unit and how to properly maintain it to prolong the life of the unit and avoid unneccesary calls. I couldn't have asked for better service.

Jay came over to my house only a few hours after I called. He was personable and attentive and figured out the issue with my A/C right away. Once he found out that there was no freon in the unit, he pulled out his tools and thoroughly inspected it until he found the leak. He then repaired the leaky valve, filled the unit with freon, and made sure that it was running properly before he left. He also answered all of my questions and gave me some advice on how to keep the unit running smoothly in the future. It is running great now! I'm very pleased with the level of service, and would definitely recommend him to my friends!

I purchased a new home built in 2006, but not purchased/moved into until 2011. It sat unsold for the intervening period. However, the three heat pump systems had been in operation, so they had about 5 years on them. Two of the three heat pumps failed at the same time but were covered under the builder's new home warranty. The warranty company chose Davis Heating and AC to handle the service call. I initially was happy with the quick response and diagnosis of the problem. However, Davis said they had to order parts but they were back-ordered, and would get back to repair the units once he had them in hand. Three weeks later he shows up with two workers and leaves them to repair the heat pumps. They get one fixed, but melt the repair part installing it in the second unit. Low and behold he shows back up with another of the same valve 30 minutes later and they get the second one working. I inquired around and find that the valves used to repair the units are very common replacements, usable in many other manufacture's systems, and there had been no and quot;shortageand quot; of the part in the area. To his credit the systems were returned to a functional state but I feel that since he was being paid by the home warranty company I was a and quot;captiveand quot; customer and went to the bottom of the list behind his other paying jobs.

"Im sorry Customer feels like this, as we always try to make everyone happy. But I think this is a little miss leading. Yes his valves are pretty universal but the problem was actually they were under manufacture warranty so we had to order from the equipment line instead of going to local parts house, to properly be reimbursed for the repairs. Yes my tech got the valve a little too hot so in turn one of the valves were bad, so I made the decision to eat the cost of valve and not have him wait any longer then the Customers have waited hence the quick turn around to replace the valve as i was trying best to make all parties happy. So we hope this explains a little better and the job was not put on back burner as we dont bill til job is complete. Again we regret this is how the Customers feel as every job, big or small we try to make priorty..... Thanks Davis Heating & AC LLC"
