When they came back the next day to fix something, they came back. I had them come back out because the dishwasher wasn't set right. They have to come back out to replace a piece by my back door. They have been real nice about repairing things or anything that might not be to my satisfaction. One of the molding that goes around the flooring had cracked, so they replaced that. They have been nice about fixing stuff that may not have come out right.
The flooring is beautiful and very nice. They did a wonderful job putting the flooring down. It all came out very nice. They were very nice about the scheduling and ordering things that needed to be replaced. They were punctual.
I purchased flooring for my entire home from Lowe's who subcontracted the installation to Watson's. It was a disaster from the start. They couldn't seem to figure out where the vinyl was, despite Lowe's having it since 12/3. They called to cancel my original carpet installation date because the vinyl had not been installed. They finally installed the vinyl on Thursday, 12/26. The flooring itself looks good, but the shoe molding installation is shoddy at best. They didn't bother to finish the corners, and used white shoe molding at the base of all of the cabinets rather than using something that matched (perhaps even the old shoe molding that they removed)! The carpet installation was scheduled for today. They sent out ONE guy to do the installation. I paid for the full service, including moving furniture, ripping out the old flooring, disposal, installation, etc. The guy started complaining the second he walked in the door. Granted, the carpet was in horrible condition due to the fact that I foster rescue dogs while we train them and find them a home. However, the guy from Watson's that came out to do the estimate knew that and saw it prior to giving me the estimate! All of a sudden, the installer shows up and wants me to move furniture, take things apart, unload bookshelves, etc. though the only thing they told me needed to be done prior to installation was to move the electronics and knickknacks. Due to the damage to the carpet, I was concerned about the subflooring, so I specifically asked three different people on three different occasions (one from Lowe's and two from Watson's) if they would fix any issues rather than just covering it up. All three, including the installer, said yes, of course they would. Well, they show up today and tell me that they don't do subfloors, they just install carpet and they will sprinkle baking soda on the subfloor. That was his solution. Baking soda and then covering it up. After my sister and I ,moved all of the furniture from two rooms, he pulled the carpet out of one and a half before I asked him to leave. I now have to find a new flooring company that will repair the subfloors and install the carpet that is now sitting in my garage. Unbelievable.
