I located Mighty Dog Roofing thru Angle's List. Jesse, one of the principals, scheduled an inspection of our roof and promptly followed up with a repair estimate. I received a professional quote with pictures of the area needing repair. Within 2 days of our accepting the estimate, the repair tech was at our home. While Alex, the repair tech was at our home, we had a serious medical emergency occur. Alex stepped in and stayed until medic arrived. I am retired and semi-handicapped so his assistance was invaluable to us. (Thankfully the medical emergency had a good outcome). After the repair was completed I received clear and concise before and after pictures of the repair! I highly recommend this company and will use them again. Thank you Alex. MDR you rock!

It started with the inspection, both inside and outside. Thatâ s important because thatâ s where a water damaged board was found inside roof and the poor mounting of vents which did not go to outside. After 3 other price quotes, I was pleased that it was in line with insurance not thousands over. The work was completed in one day. The clean up only left an old broom and the left over shingles which could have been taken to back. It left very little to complain about. Overall very satisfied!

Have a good price but had hidden fees in small writing. They dropped the price under the condition that we sign a contract with them online that day. We felt as if it was an excellent deal, so we signed it ($500 off original price) but they made up a big part of it on hidden fees in small writing.

"James, Thanks for your review. I do want to respond to your comments about making up fees or small writing though, because I think that is an unfair characterization. On all of our contracts we start with the scope of work, which is in full size font. Included in this section is what we are including in the estimate. This also lists the only incidental charge we have, which is for rotten wood that is found during the removal process. It certainly wasn't hidden or in small writing and the price per board is included. This is the first piece of information in our contracts and comes before materials and price of the contract. It is impossible to know how much wood needs to be replaced before we start the project, and it is critical to replace rotten wood or the shingles will not fasten to the deck, which will greatly shorten the life of the roof. Every roofing company has to charge to replace decking because it is costly to us in time and materials and the price is a fairly standard rate per board across the industry. There were no other charges or fees on your invoice aside from the two pieces of OSB. If you have any concerns or questions, please reach out to me directly. Colin Owner Mighty Dog Roofing"
