Salesman Sean T. quoted a price 4 times 2 competitors. Installers came out next day (Big Red Flag) but rain would not allow safe installation. That afternoon I called Sales Manager Matt S. to cancel job but he said I got a great deal and his material cost was $38 per linear foot (2nd Big Red Flag). Installation completed next day with 20 to 25 foot section of new gutter left over. Installers cut this new gutter, flattened and disposed of it (3rd Big Red Flag). Please be careful using this price gouging company! It is illegal to practice price gouging during during pandemic in NC according to the Attorney General.

Installation went smoothly aside from a couple things that were damaged. Crew was on time and did a nice job, but getting the damaged things addressed took more persistence on our part than it should have.

They claim that they are on Angie's List but I doubt that they thoughtfully represented Angie's List. I think their prices were overcharged. I went online and look for them and the sale that they are doing to me is the same what they are doing to other people.  There were several people that was complaining. They come out and they advertise that they are on Angie's List. They have to work on my old gutter but they just put a water filter on top of it.  I didn't like their sales people and the amount of money they asked me. They are selling things on Saturday and they would come out in Sunday which was a bit wrong.

We had LeafGuard gutters put on this house based on the positive experience we had with the product on our previous house. So, after enduring the high-pressure sales pitch, and having the gutters installed, correcting a couple times along the way for shortcuts, we now were to the point where a few sections had to be removed so some rotten fascia boards could be replaced.

We about fell over by the quoted price of the work. After some discounting, it came down a little but still ridiculously high for the amount of time and effort involved in the job. The only reason we let them do the work was because it involved removing some mitered joints that we did not know how to replace if they got damaged. Clearly, this company does not care about much more than making money.

The work to remove the gutters did not take long, further shortened by the fact that they did not do all that was quoted. Against the

protests of my wife and the carpenter, the crew said they had a drawing showing what was to be removed and they had done what was shown. We ended up having our carpenter remove the rest.

The day that they were supposed to replace the gutters, there was a breakdown in communication. We were told the crew would be coming between noon and 5:00 pm to replace the gutters. At 4:30, my wife called to check on when the crew would arrive, as we had plans shortly after 5:00. She was told they would still be coming out, but that the people in the office did

not know which crew or when, as they had no information on the work in the field. My wife said since it was so late (and such a hot day) that we would be willing to reschedule. She was told they would be coming out shortly. We went to our appointment and were surprised to come home at 7:30 pm to find two men finishing up on our house. They told us they had begun early in the morning and we told they could not be done for the day before finishing on our house. They looked totally exhausted!

I met later in the week with the service manager and told him we would be giving the company this rating. I also told him about the

experience, including showing him what had been removed by his company and what boards were replaced. He offered to reduce the fee based on the work actually done, but I told him we were still dissatisfied with the price, considering the size of the total job. We even checked with the franchise in Raleigh on the pricing and were told that each franchise is free to set it?s own rates. Buyer

beware!

While this is a good product, we would not recommend it to anyone based on the way this company prices and does business. We are disgusted!

I bought the Leafguard system 15+ years ago and love it -- no ladders and cleaning out all this time.  There's a lot of pollen that washes down from the roof and it eventually built up in the gutters.  Allen came out and flushed out the pollen debris.  There was no charge so the lifetime-of-roof warranty on Leafguard holds true.   He gave me great info on exterior maintenance that I can do without getting up on a ladder.  Great experience today -- thanks Allen and Leafguard!

They installed it in one day and it was very well done. They offered to replace any rotted boards or re paint anything needed. However, that work did not need to be done. The product they delivered was exactly what they said it would be. It was interesting how they started the work They came to my home to give  a presentation. They showed me other options in the market and explained why their product was better. They gave me enough information so I could make a decision. They were very helpful.  They do offer financing options but you have to be pre-approved. That was my only hiccup but everything turned out fine.  They were also very professional. They scheduled the work quickly and completed the work on time. I am very happy with the final product. The appearance of my home has improved by the gutters and my neighbors have noticed.

I had concerns about the valley's on the house and the steepness of the roof. The salesman said there was no problem with the steepness of the roof and that when the installers came out to do the work they could install deflectors at the valley's and that would take care of any problems. I had 6 inch commercial gutters on the house and they took care of all the water without a problem. The salesman said the Leaf Guard gutters would take care of all the water also. They arrived as scheduled on July 3, 2013 and the installation went well. They said there may be a little dripping over the edge of the gutters for a few rains until the new wore off the paint. It came a very lite shower as they were finishing up and it did drip over the edge. However when we got a moderate rain a few days later the water came down the valley's, hit the guard on top of the gutters and went over into the flower bed and washed all the mulch out. There was a place on the front porch and a 20 foot section at each end of the rear gutter where the water hit the guard on top and went over 6 feet out into the yard and flower bed. I called and it took about 4 calls and each time they said they would call back and didn't. I had to call them back. It took 4 weeks for them to get someone out to look at the problem. During this time, each time it rained it washed the mulch out of the flower bed. They finally came back on July 30th and put the deflectors in the gutters at the valley's and pushed the shingles down on the porch where it was going over, it helped some but it still goes over in a moderate to heavy rain. They didn't do anything to the gutter in the back because they ran a little water down the roof with the hose and said it worked fine. They ran a little water down the valley's and had to drill holes in the guard to get it to take the little amount of water they were running down. We still have the same problem, just not quite as bad.

With their experience on the number of houses they have installed their gutters, they should know whether the Leaf Guard gutters will work on a particular house and should inform the home owner if they don't think their gutters will do the job of taking the water from that house

I feel that I wasted $6900.00 and created a much worse problem. I could have used that $6900.00 and could have hired someone to come out and clean the gutters 138 time at six times a year that would have been for the next 23 years. There is a man near me who will clean the gutters for $50.00 each cleaning. The original gutters worked well as long as they weren't clogged.

I have to admit that on my neighbors house which has a 5/12 pitch roof the Leaf Guard gutters work great and he loves them. On a shallow pitch home they should work fine and I would say go ahead and get them. However on my house with a 9/12 pitch roof they do not work very well and I would suggest not to get them especially if you have any valley's on your roof.

There is a clause on the back of the contract saying there may be a problem with valley's with a place to initial it. I did not initial this clause because of what the salesman told me concerning how they could take care of that problem. The General Manager at Leaf Guard has pretty much told me that I have what I have and there is not much they can do about it.

I should have kept my original gutters. I would have been much better off. I could have had the trees cut down and removed for half what the gutters cost.

After the first couple of  rains which were very lite, the last being yesterday, I was not impressed with the fix. I am going to wait to see what happens with a couple more moderate rains and if the problem still exists I will be contacting them again too see what they can do for the problem.

Update: After over a year after when moderate rains begain again this year the gutters have the same problem.  after the first moderate I called, someone was suposed to return my call. No return call. A week later after another moderate rain rain I called again, this time someone did return my call. They came out  four days later to try and find the problem. Water still does not go in the gutters except in a very light rain. Anything more than that it runs right over them. I may as well not have any gutters on the house at all. It is washing my flower beds out and soaking into my crawl space. I had to spend over $4,000.00 last fall  to have a drain and pump system installed in the crawl space to handle the problem of the water running in the crawl space that these gutters caused.

They came out again last week June 30, 2014 and decided they needed spacers to level the gutters. They workmen put in temporary wood spacers in a couple of areas on the gutter as a test and it worked very well in those locations with a water hose. A manager was suposed to call me back before the end of the day according to one of the workers to set up a time for them to come out and look at the fix and then set up a date to come out and do the repair. I have not heard from them since, it is now Wednesday, July 2nd.

Very good!  They were very efficient.  They showed up first thing in the morning, and... boom boom boom, they had everything done in about 4 hours.  They cleaned up after themselves.  They did have one minor accident where a bottle fell off the roof, and ripped one of my screens, but they took that with them and brought it back when it was fixed.

I was very pleased with them, and was very pleased with the price, too!  I thought it would be more.

We had someone come out to give an estimate. There is an incentive to decide to sign a contract that day since they offer a discount to same-day contracts. I am usually very opposed to that kind of business because I like to have time to discuss it with my husband without them in the next room. Even though that was a bit off-putting to me, we were able to settle on a price that we were all agreeable to - and I felt like I was getting a fair price. We had them installed a month later. They could have done it sooner, but we wanted to wait until after we had our house painted. The installers came, were on time, and were professional and courteous. They completed the job in one afternoon. It rained pretty heavily a couple days later, and I was very pleased with the product. There was no water dripping off the gutters - it was all going in and flowing down the downspouts. Even in very heavy rains, they have continued to outperform my expectations. This was a good purchase for us. Our previous gutters had had after-market leaf shields installed on them - and they were terrible - always getting clogged, and not very effective at catching the water. LeafGuard gutters have been everything I had hoped they would be. They were a good investment for our house.

They provided a good product. We researched who we wanted to use. It has done everything they advertised it would do. They don't really have competitors, so I assume I got a pretty good price. The quality is pretty good. Their punctuality and professionalism was very good.

The estimator was on time and provided an estimate and explanation. The work was scheduled to come out three to four weeks later. The installers arrived on time and completed the work in about four hours. They did not leave any debris at my home and the job was professionally done. I was very satisfied with the quality of work performed and would use them again on a future home.

Said it would be approx. 2 weeks until installation. Turned out to be 4 1/2 weeks.Paul kept telling me they would be there first thing in the morning and they never showed up. Excuse was he looked at the wrong week. Okay, they would be there first thing Monday morning,no show.Reason,a man quit and the installer was working by himself, promised Wednesday morning, no show. Came after lunch. Did a fast job of installing gutters, took care of flowers and bushes, no complaints there, but they were short about a 4 to 5 ft piece of down spout. Promised first thing next morning, no show, called them and they had a truck break down, be there first thing next morning. Again, no show. I called the office again, was told they were getting down spout and she would send Chad out to finish. Chad came and installed a 4 ft.section which was to short and he didn't tie it to the house. Called again and said I wasn't happy and wanted it done like the others, they just added another 1 ft piece. Not good.
