IDEAL ELECTRIC

Built a pool and this company was subcontracted to do the electrical. When they ran the line underground, they never returned to fill the hole, just put 2 1x4 pieces of lumber on top of the hole. Good thing we rarely use the door where the hole was because the hole was 2 feet deep. When it was time to turn the pool equipment on, the heater was not wired correctly and a communication wire was completely missing. Pool company contacted Rick at Ideal Electrical to fix the problem and the first available day was 4 weeks later. UNACCEPTABLE!!! Your company screws up and you tell me that this is how you work. You make mistakes and don't bother to fix them because you're "booked for the next 5 weeks". Customers are not a priority to this company and this is not good business practice. When you screw up, you get your *** in gear to fix it because your reputation is on the line. I don't care if you're booked, you fix your mistakes before you move on to other jobs. Want to know why? Because the person who wired it incorrectly in the first place might be committing the same mistakes on EVERY SINGLE JOB SITE. Now you're playing catch-up on multiple sites, wasting time and money, just because you don't feel like making time to fix YOUR known mistakes. I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!!!

The guys were so polite and knowledgeable! They found some things that a previous electrician had done wrong and were able to go over it clearly with us. They were on time and really seemed to know what they were doing. They told us that they really enjoyed working for the owner of the company!

Upon contacting, I was provided a quote for techs coming to the house. The quote was for $95 (plus tax), and over the phone we were told it would be about an hour. The techs came, and they were quite professional and courteous. They did a great job, located the small issue and also confirmed that our system was in good shape and all was safe. About an hour later, they left. The next day, I received an invoice for $125 (plus tax). When I emailed about the difference between the quote and the invoice, I was informed that the quote only covered "about 45 mins" of work (not detailed in the quote) and that this was only a minimum (which I did understand.) When I explained that there certainly a bit of a misunderstanding in the way the numbers were presented, there was simply a "thank you for your business" response. While it is not a huge difference in price, that difference is in relation to the small number quoted. I fear that if I had been quoted $500, the invoice may have been around $700 in the end. The work was done right, they were professional in all they did; however, I am giving a lower overall grade because I feel like there was a little bit of a bait and switch between the quote and the invoice, and personally I am not a big fan of those types of surprises. I am not saying don't use them... I did get my money's worth. I am just saying be sure you understand completely what is on the estimate / quote and ask a lot of questions so that you are not surprised when it comes time to pay up. Not sure if this is a common thing with electricians in general, but in this situation, there felt to be a bit of "switcheroo" going on. Oh, and they charge a 3% surcharge for credit cards. While this IS in the fine print of the estimate, it is not something that stands out... so just be aware of this if you plan to pay by a credit card.

Great- discussed what was needed and they went right to it.

The company rep came in to evaluate the job and sent me a written quote the same day. On the day the work was to be performed, the techs arrived on time, kept me apprised during the entire time and finished within the time estimated. They cleaned up and took the packaging with them. I was very pleased and have already committed to additional projects.

Came out to the hose. went up on the roof, took apart the fan, removed blade. Diagnosed problem was with fan blade bearings and fan motor. Recommended that we engage a roofer to replace the power exhaust fan as they cannot do the work because of the liability of leaking.
Two men, one hour at our house and Jeff would not charge us for the service call.
I have used him over the years both personally and professionally. Outstanding individual, top notch work. Won't ever hire a different electrician.  Thanks Jeff

I didn't actually see Jeff, but the two guys he sent were excellent.  They spent about 3-4 hours at my house and left having done all I asked of them.  I'm pretty happy with the work and plan on having them do more for me.

I can't say enough good things about Ideal Electrical Services. Right from the first meeting with Jeff this was a great experience. He carefully went over my list, gave an estimate the next day and we scheduled the work. I had to postpone one time but it was no problem and we were able to quickly reschedule. The workers arrived on the due date on time and meticulously went about accomplishing everything on my list. I would recommend this company to everyone who cares about maintaining their home!

Ideal Electric did a great job for me.  After power went out to my work shed I called them and asked them to diagnose the problem.  The underground wiring needed to be replaced and an estimate was provided up front.  The work was done within thr timeframe promised and at the cost promised.   They were totally reliable in their work.  I'd use them again.

Great electrician.  All the workers are very nice and polite.  Very reasonable pricing.  He has done jobs for me twice now.  He is great.

Jeff and his crew did a great job with the installation.  Jeff met me twice at the beginning of the project so that I was clear on all the details.  I wanted to make sure I did this right the first time.   Jeff made some recommendations including adding an outside GFI outlet and a wireless switch for the large coach light.  The installation was completed as expected.  After a couple of rain delays the final inspection was done.  The inspector said the job was done with safety in mind.  Jeff accepted payment in full at the completion of the project.  A sign of a well established business.  Thanks to Jeff and his crew, I am enjoying my new workshop to it fullest!

This company was excellent to work with. I met Jeff Little, the owner, through the general contractor we were using at the time. Jeff met with us and we walked through the whole house renovation from top to bottom. He was great at explaining what options I had for dimmers, types of lights and sizes, and how the process would happen.

The team was super polite and I was on site most of the time. I asked for multiple changes/additions midstream and they handled all of the requests with the greatest of calm. The answer was always, "Yes, ma'am!"

I trusted Jeff's recommendations for using a smaller can light on the cabinet doors in our newly installed kitchen and was so glad I did. It looks amazing. Lighting can make such a difference in the final outcome of the project.

The team was very conscious of keeping the area clean and tidy too. I had some additional work done afterwards to move several light locations, move some pendants, add one more can in the bathroom, etc. and they left each area more clean then when they arrived. I hate to admit that, but they did!

I really liked that they let us live with the lighting switches for a bit before deciding where the dimmers would be located and the floor outlet installed under the sectional. Since it was a new home to us, we weren't really sure how we were using the spaces yet and where the dimmer switches would be the most convenient. Giving us an extra week or so allowed us to be comfortable with our decision. We also were able to change the order of some of the switches within the switch to an order that made more sense to us.

Jeff's pricing seemed fair to us. We will need electrical work done in the future when we install a pool and I sincerely hope to work with Jeff Little and Ideal Electric again at that time. I would highly recommend Ideal Electric to anyone considering using them.

They are top-notch, first class electricians. I was an executive in the restaurant business for 40 years and have used contractors like this many times. They are the best I've ever seen. Jeff prepared the bid. He broke down the bid to each and every item. The workers came out and started the work. They were very professional, neat, and clean. They paid attention to all of the details. After they were finished, they would take me around and show me everything they did. They were very concerned about how I felt about the quality of the their work. When the work was done, Jeff came back and gave me an invoice for the exact items he quoted in the bid. Jeff and his workers have earned my respect, my trust and my loyalty. I expect to be using them forever.

Jeff gave a prompt, professional, competitive bid.  I selected him from among 5 additional bids for this same job.  Although there were some unexpected expectations from the local building inspector, Jeff and his crew made it right, taking multiple trips to the jobsite to do so.  I am very satisfied with his customer service and overall performance.

Again they did a great job.  They are number one on my list for electrical work.

First let me start by saying that this is not the first time that Ideal Electric has performed work at my house.  The first time I was introduced to Ideal Electric was while I was having my kitchen completely renovated.  The company I chose to install my kitchen sub-contracted the electrical work out to Ideal Electric.  I was so pleased with the quality of the work that was performed by Ideal Electric during the kitchen renovation that a couple of months later I had them come back out to my newly purchased house and install security lights on the exterior of the house, an interior electrical outlet and move my dryer outlet.

Jeff Little and all of his employees are very friendly and professional.  When you contact Ideal Electrical for the first time, Jeff Little personally comes out to your house to assess the situation.  He will tell you what your various options are based on what you're wanting to do, and he will provide you with the pricing for the work that would need to be performed.  He gives you a complete break down of the cost of every outlet, light switch etc., so there's no hidden fees or charges.  Jeff Little always responds to your calls and emails within a very timely manner.  His employees always show up on time, they are very respectful of your property while they are performing the work, they clean up any mess they make when they are done and they all do an excellent job! 

Not only would I highly recommend Ideal Electrical, but to date I have had them perform work at my house on three separate occasions and I will continue to use them for all of my electrical needs.

We made an appt. with Jeff Little to assess the work that was needed and to get a price quote, which we received promptly and at a reasonable rate.  Once we scheduled the work, Shane and Jeff arrived on-time and called ahead to inform me they were on their way.  They were courteous and professional and all work was completed promptly, at the quoted price.  They also don't mind taking the time ensure customers understand what they are doing and why.  The work area was cleaned up / restored to it's original condition.  I was very satisfied with the workmanship and professionalism and plan to use their services again soon.
