Chad was early with a phone call to ask if he could come early. He was very professional and great in his efforts. He installed the can light over the stove and figured out that we had a broken lead on the stove downstairs which he was able to repair. I will ask for him by name in the future.

I recently relocated from Maryland to North Carolina and Gowdy Electric is epitome of Supreme service and Southern hospitality. The company is well represented by two employees that underscore those two sentiments. Katrina and Chad. Chad, the Electrician was on time, polite, and respectful. He answered all my questions no matter how simple they might have been. He installed 14 can lights in two days and cleaned up the rooms so well that my neighbors couldn't tell I had work done 3 hours earlier. All I can say about Katrina is OMG! I know that's a bit childish but if you ever want to know what good customer service is, call Gowdy Electric and ask to speak to Katrina. Katrina spent hours helping me locate the type of can light I was looking for. I could not find the right cover/can light (brushed nickel) and size of light for my project that would fit my budget. Katrina took it upon herself to do the legwork and research. She found the right can light and I could not be happier. KUDOS to Katrina and Chad. Words of wisdom to Gowdy Electric senior staff: Hang on and VALUE Katrina and Chad. They would be very appealing to your competitors!

I quite liked the work that Chad did. We knew it would be difficult to be done and he made it look easy. It was great job. The price was the best we found and I could not be more pleased. Surely I'll contact they for future work. They are very good. Highly recommended.

I am very pleased with Gowdy Electric and their work. Chad was on time (also had called to let me know he was on the way) and he was extremely polite and professional. He replaced a flood light and walked me through how to set the sensor. In addition, he did a quick check of the front porch light to ensure it was working properly. He did excellent work and it's great to have light in the back yard once again!

We had this service performed in our second home. Due to illness we were not able to be there for the install. However, our neighbor unlocked the door for the technician and he completed the work. The lights were installed properly and neatly. We are very appreciative of the service provided given the circumstances of us not being there. There was no mess left behind and the lights were a great addition.

They came out on time and gave a great price quote. Service was great and everything was finished in a timely manner.

We purchased 12 recessed lights for installation in two rooms in our house. The folks from Gowdy were prompt in contacting us about an appointment for installation. The electrician arrived promptly, listened to how we wanted the lights installed, measured the layout to center the lights appropriately and the work was done efficiently. All residue from the work was removed. We are very happy with the outcome.

Chad was quite professional...called ahead to confirm time, arrived as scheduled. He answered all my questions about new light fixture and the appropriate dimmer (he told me LED lights would require a compatible dimmer-more expensive and not the one that is already installed). He then checked all the outlets that I had identified and assessed the problem with an outdoor outlet. Cleaned trash from around box. He also went into the attic to check wiring. Finally, he gave me a estimate about the cost of installing a new outlet in garage.

Chad arrived on time and installed a new junction box on a roof corner and ran new wire to a newly installed switch. Motion light was then installed and tested. Coat and estimate were for the same amount. I am very pleased with Chad's work at my home. I have had this company at my home four times this year . Scott did the first visit and Chad the remainder. Great company with great service.

Scott did a very thorough job finding the problem and fixing it. He also replaced a motion light assembly as well.

I had a great experience working with Gowdy Electric. Chad installed my recessed lights and dimmer switch. I purchased the 6-recessed light deal via the "Buy Now" offer on Angie?s list. Gowdy contacted me and scheduled a time for installation. Chad arrived on time with all materials needed. He installed the recessed lights & dimmer switch in my kitchen and cleaned up after himself. Overall, the employees at Gowdy were very responsive to my questions, and I was very pleased with their work.

Very pleased with this expereince. Chad called on his way to my home to advise he was 20 minutes away. Once he arrived, we walked through the areas I needed work. Chad was able to quickly assess the work effort and provided me the price quoutes on the work required and since the prices were so reasonable for the work involved, we agreed to proceed with getting the work done. I was so pleased that he coudl work me into his schedule immediately. Chad went out to his van to get all the equipement need and immediately started to work. Chad was able to perform the work at a very high quality level and offered suggestions on how to install the 2 lights in the laundry room since he was only taking out 1 large fluorescent light. The ceiling fans were installed perfectly and the other lights look great as well. I was extremely pleased and appreciate how efficient, professional, knowledgable and friendly Chad was. He was a great representation of the Gowdy Electric company.

Did a great job in diagnosing issue of light and fan being out only in some rooms even though circuit wasn't tripped. Technician knew exactly what the problem was. Tested and fixed problem

The installation went very well. Chad was great to work with on this project. He arrived when he stated he would to install the lights. He installed the lights and cleaned up afterwards. These lights were going into an existing kitchen on the main floor with no access from above. Fortunately there was space around the joist to run the wiring, but Chad assured me if there was not space he would be able to install them. They installed remodel type cans, and my kitchen is so much brighter now which is what I wanted. Katrina and Scott were very responsive to my questions.

Scott, did a wonderful job coming up with alternatives to do the wiring needed which saved us money and time. A real nice guy who did a nice job for us.

They were extremely professional, he called me back on a Sunday evening, came out the next day, were right on time. They were very clean and professional, they explained all the steps to me. He did not give me the 10% discount as stated on Angie's list, but when I called the owner of the company resolved it and sent me a check for the amount immediately and even rounded the amount up.

Chad called to see if he could come early which was great! He explained the repair and completed the job efficiently!

Scott is very friendly and professional - he was running an hour late but immediately called to let my wife and I know. He did a thorough inspection of the job prior to quoting us a price to ensure that there would be no surprises, and added the timer switch to the job on the day of without any hesitation or complaint. I will definitely use Gowdy the next time I need electrical work done.

Two of the electricians arrived on time and ready to work. They did a summary of the work scope as we had previously discussed during the earlier quote visit. They described what their plan was to accomplish our objectives. The two electricians discussed the project and investigated the surroundings then got to work. They were courteous and polite. Respected our home by being careful. Did everything with excellent quality and workmanship.

The experience went very well overall. They were very timely and they didn’t go over their estimate!
