DEPENDABLE PLUMBING SERVICE

I was pretty happy with them for a few years, but then they had some personnel changes and they started doing a lot of contract work. They sent their best people out to do new construction and contract work for builders. The people they were using for small repairs weren't as good as the other people were. The main issue with them was getting them over here because they got so busy. They were working out of town and stuff like that. I would use them again if I had to.

This job went very smoothly. Called Michael the week prior, told him what I was looking for and gave him all details of the lay-out of my crawlspace, etc.. Michael's price was very fair and he even coached me that regardless of who would do the work, to do it soon to head off a 10% wholesale industry price increase on water heaters. Others I spoke to after confirmed this. I told Michael to go ahead with it and he arrived when he said he would and completed all the work himself and did a great job. There was no trace of him doing the work except for the new water heater itself. I was not present, but my wife and father in law spoke very highly of his knowledge, helpfulness and friendly and polite manner. He even offered some advice and made a minor adjustment on a toilet that was giving us problems -at no charge. Michael will be our first call when we need any plumbing help, and I recommend him highly.

Michael was courteous ,professional and timely. Replaced sillcock that was leaking. We had a water leak in a upstairs shower (thought it was the drain) Michael found a leak around the turn on knob and repaired. He also replaced a toilet shut off valve.

"Mike" was very friendly, punctual, fair in his quote, and professional in his work. I would reccommend him anytime.

Wonderful. Michael did the work, solved the problem, charged a fair price. I just wish he wouldn't go on vacation :-). I have gotten an estimate on other work I need done and the price is good.

I contacted Michael on a Friday to see if he could come and install a new kitchen faucet that we had purchased. Our old one was leaking. He quoted $85.00 and said he would be able to do it Monday morning. He arrived on time, and installed the faucet in no time. I would definitely contact him for any and all plumbing projects that we have.

Everything was great, he was extremely prompt(came right over)explained what was going on to me, fixed it, and told me how to fix it in the future. A really, really nice guy who solved a problem we were stressing over without much expense.

I had obtained several estimates on the installation of a pedestal sink and Michael's was by far the most reasonable. When he came out to install the sink he pointed out that I had bought the wrong faucet (8" centers rather than 4" centers) and did not recommend the install. After talking to us for a while and looking at some other work we had done in the house, he said he was confident that we could install the pedestal ourselves and that there was no need to pay him to come out again. He was very detailed in his instructions, actually left us all parts we would need and told us to call him if we ran into any difficulties and he would 'talk us through it'. It is extremely refreshing to find someone who is knowledgeable, professional and is not simply out for as much money as he can get. We will definitely be calling him again for this house in the country and the four other houses we have in Indian Trail.

Came the day I called, made the repair promptly, handed me the parts replaced without my asking.

Great experience and we'll definitely use Dependable for our future plumbing needs. The pressure relief valve was tripped and our crawlspace was filling with water. We called Dependable, received a 'live' answer, and a promptly scheduled appointment. Within 2 hours the plumber was on site replaced the valve and explained that this may be temporary, but was the most immediate cost effective solution. He also explained what may be necessary if this does not work. We like this approach because he did not immediately go for the expensive and potentially unnecessary solution. Nonetheless, the events unfolded as he thought they might. A couple days later the valve was tripped again and of course during off hours. Again, we received a prompt answer with short term instructions until the plumber could arrive. He showed up, installed the overflow tank, and all is good.

We have had nothing but good experiences. All the work has been done on schedule, quickly and efficiently, and without any problems. Michael Simpson is a pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend them. Obviously the work he's done for us had been of a fairly simple nature, so I can't speak for more complex jobs. Also, I don't know that he's the cheapest, maybe he is. But these days getting a job done right the first time, and on time, is worth maybe a few dollars more. Highly recommended.

Have used this company before. Extremely friendly and takes the time to describe what he is doing. Has no problem with you watching him work or asking questions along the way. Came out, removed toilet, caulked around flange, put in new wax seal, and reseated toilet. Cleaned up any spilled water and left bathroom in spotless condition. Excellent job, wonderful personality, great and fair pricing.

It took them about an hour or so to get the new water heater installed. Once they were done, they took us to it and explained in detail how to adjust the temperature, how to light it and drain it if we need to.

My general contractor paid this company out of what I paid to him for the entire addition. The company did not do perfect work. They had put some plumbing lines in my shower system that needed to be redone due to a manufacturer error through Delta. They also installed my sinks a little lower than they should have been. In all, everything looks fine and functions fine. I probably would not use them again. I say that not because they are a horrible company. I just say that because we have our own plumbing resources that we would use if we were not operating through a general contractor. I still have no major problems with this company, however, and overall, I think they care about treating their customers well and showing up on time and things of that nature.

I thought this company did a good job. My father actually helped me deal with them because I am not too experienced at dealing with contractors. I can say that they left my yard completely reseeded, however, and it now looks immaculate. I had no problems with any of the contractors. The only thing I can not comment on would be the price. I simply do not recall what I was charged but because no bill particularly stands out in my mind as being a huge one, it was probably reasonable or what I was expecting.

I was pleased with the quality of work that was done by them. They were pleasant to deal with and did not seem a bit annoyed with the questions we had. The only real down side to this job was that they would tell us that they would be back at a certain time the next day and they were usually late. The job itself ran a few days past when we thought it would be done but all in the entire finished product was good.

I was happy with the plumber and the work that he did. There was a problem with the contractor, as he had put a nail into the new plumbing and we had a large water leak all the way downstairs in the second floor. It was a big mess, but the plumber took care of it for us right away. The plumbing works fine. I do not know what they charged because it was a $30,000 project. I just don't know what portion was for plumbing.

Mr. Simpson arrived promptly. He quickly fixed all the problems, explaining as he went along what he was doing and why. If the problem may recur, he was quick to explain why and what my options were. Overall, I was very happy. Since the jobs were quick to fix, he charged me just the standard one-hour rate. We agreed to wait until spring to fix the outside spigot.

He actually saved me a lot of money. Very honest, very helpful. He gave me several options, he gave me information over the phone that you would normally not receive or expect from a plumber, very personable.

Excellent experience. Mike came out the day I called, worked quickly, and left everything very clean and neat. Pleasant guy and helpful.
