My garage door would open from outside key pad and or remote , but the only way to close it was to stand inside and hold the button down till it went all the way down then had to release it quickly and then quickly  push it again to get it to stay closed. I did have a local guy  try to fix  it but  when that guy left I noticed a wire hanging down in the middle off the garage motor/light. When I called and asked him about that he said that it was like that. I as well as 2 others go in the garage a lot and that wire hanging down is something that would not of gone unnoticed. The other guy  has not called me back even tho my  father and I both have left messages. ( I even left a message saying it was ok if he could not fix it but I needed to know so I could move on and find another )  I am so glad the other guy  did not call back and also that a friend gave me the number to COX ... 
I called Cox Doors ( got their name from a friend ) and they  got much of the information over the phone. I spoke with ( Phil and Mike I believe but not positive of name and hope if  I got the names wrong that it can be corrected) Phil tried to walk me through the problem and we decided it best if  they came out. They set up the appointment for the next morning between 9 and 10 am. At  8:55 this morning Phil called to say someone was on the way. Scott showed up , very professional and knowledgeable and said he would fix me right up. I left him alone as I know people do not like other hovering over them. I am not sure how long it took .. Less than an hour I believe but he got it up and running and even pounded out a few dents in the door. He was very polite and cheerful and explained what he had done. ( All i knew was that it was working Great and I could now get in my car and shut the garage door from the car instead having to go back inside and out the front door ) .. I would highly  HIGHLY recommmend this company to others. This really makes me want to join Angie's List so that my  opinion and reviews would rank higher for them. My father has a rental house around the corner and I ( or he ) will be contacting them about that. Also I will promote and recommend this company  to all my  friends and to the neighbor hood newsletter.  Great , Professional,Friendly  and Fast... A +++++ 5 stars ... Use this company  if you need garage work done. They  know what they are doing.

Great, came out immediately early morning, when I called that the garage door would not work.  I have used them in the past and they were great then also.

They came when they said they would and did the job.  It took about two hours.  When they left, they took all the old materials with them so I didn't have any clean-up to do.

It's the best as far as I'm concerned. He was okay. They relieved my problem. Everything they've done, I've been totally satisfied. The guy that came totally knows what he's doing. It was a good price. Didn't take long ago for him to get out of here. They came out the same day I called.

Door is working like new now.

Outstanding service by the technician Scott!  arrived within time scheduled, Professional and organized approached to removing and installing the equipment, provided information on how to program the opener,  One of the best customer service experiences that I have had.

Everything went smoothly.  On time, reasonable estimate, good installation.  An adjustment on the door was needed so they came back over promptly once I called and fixed the problem at no extra cost.

I called this provided because of their Angie's List rating in October 2013. The sales rep, Jason, came to my home within an hour of my initial call. He was very professional, knowledgeable of his products. Originally I wanted to replace my old garage doors with dark  colored wood doors. Jason explained that wood is expensive and requires ongoing maintenance. He suggested a metal wooden faux finish door by Clopay. I liked the look and the fact that there would be no on going maintenance. His suggestion wood save me money on the purchase and be care free for the future.

There was some confusion about the door color initially but Cox Door corrected the situation and I am very pleased with the final results.

They were very good. They did the work that we asked them to do and they were on time. It was a good experience. The cost was right in line with a couple of other estimates.

Andrew was punctual, professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. I have used them before and will certainly use them in the future.

My first experience with Cox door was to purchase a garage door opener about six years ago, which they installed.  About a year ago an alarm was beeping on the opener signaling the backup battery needed replacing so I once again called them.  They not only replaced the battery but also serviced the garage door.  I was impressed with the quality of technicians that installed and serviced my garage door and opener, so this year when I decided to replace my garage door they were one of three company's I contacted for information on a new door. 







In researching reviews on the internet, a resounding theme was that while one brands top of the line door was pretty much comparable in quality to another brands top of the line door, the quality of the install makes all the difference in the performance of the door as well as the customer experience.  Cox Doors price was competitive and I had good experiences with their service technicians, so I felt most comfortable buying my door from them, and I was not disappointed.  







They were a dealer for a particular brand of door, but that brand did not have the style of door I wanted; a 3 panel, steel, carriage style door.  They were able to accommodate me anyway allowing me to purchase the brand and style I preferred.  My door was not a typical installation.  It was a brand they didn't commonly work with.  It was a 3 panel vs. 4 panel door, and it required a low headroom track.  All these variations presented a bit of a challenge during installation, but they couldn't have done a better job.   Their technician did an excellent job on the installation and drew on the resources of other technicians he worked with at Cox when he needed to.  They all worked together to help each other.  They were not only very professional, but perfectionist going out of their way to make sure everything was installed correctly and performing optimally.  Most of the technicians I've encountered with Cox have been with the company for several years.  Good help is hard to find, and Cox does a good job of retaining their people.  Some companies prefer to have a higher turnover rate and the lower retention costs of an under-experienced poorly trained and equipped staff.

Cox provided a quality quote, showed up exactly when indicated, fixed the problem and provided some add on enhancements at no additional charge.

I have waited almost a couple of months to submit this report to make sure my garage door continued to open and close well.
My garage door stopped opening half-way while at the same time emitting a loud, grating sound.  After checking sources on Angie's list, I contacted Cox Door.  They were professional, pleasant on the phone and timely in getting someone to my home.  Scott was the representative doing my repairs.  He was punctual, friendly and professional.  I was impressed with how diligently he worked.  The price ($90) for the services was reasonable.  I was pleased all around with my experience with this company.  I would recommend and use them again.

The first time we called Cox it was because my husband backed out of the garage while the door wasn't completely opened!!  It bent the frame and was inoperable.  Cox came out that day and the service man physically bent the frame back into shape so that it would open and close!  He did this for absolutely no charge!!!  Wow, we were stunned.  However, a short few months later, the door finally did become inoperable and the quote he gave us during his first visit was honored, and when the door was delivered, the service man told us they didn't have a standard 18' door in stock (they were sold out) so they brought an insulated 18' door and installed that, honoring the same quote as the standard un-insulated door.  We very highly recommend this company,

I thought the technician who came out knew what he was doing. It wasn't a complex job. If I need something done that's similar, I would use them again. He was willing to educate me on what was needed to be done.

The technician was very professional, completed the job quickly and flawlessly, and cleaned up afterward.  We are very satisfied with the outcome of the project and would recommend Cox to anyone requiring a new garage door and/or opener.  We probably could have saved a little money shopping around, but given the level of timely service we received we were glad we decided to use Cox without comparing multiple bids.
