I have worked in construction for over 25 years. I started in my late teens with a carpentry company doing framing and interior/ exterior trim. I went on to be a superintendent with some of Charlottes finest home builders. About 15 years ago I was hired with a local high end remodeling company specializing in historic homes. In January of 2005 I started Albritton Custom Carpentry LLC to take the work that I love to the next level.

Bill is the best! I cannot praise his work highly enough. We originally hired Bill and his partner to build a wall-length built in bookshelf. He was very easy to communicate with and very helpful as we finalized the design. The end product was stunning! All of the finishing was perfect, which was really impressive, because the floor and ceiling were not at all level. So after that went so well, we hired him a few months later to build a custom kitchen larder. If anything, it's even nicer. Perfectly matches our design and is really high quality. Absolutely top notch work. You won't find anybody better. Not that you'll need to, but be sure to ask him about lions and tigers :).

Bill was great to work with in the design process and helped to coordinate with an electrician to ensure the cabinets were lit beautifully. The craftsmanship is top notch and when they ran into an issue with matching existing crown molding they were able to work though it and replaced the crown molding in the room to ensure a perfect match.

These guys are the greatest. I was in a bind, and they bailed me out with incredibly responsive service and outstanding work. The charges were absolutely fair. I am planning to work with them again soon, this time to build a cabinet for a new wine fridge.

Wonderful! Bill and his partner, Rick, were extremely professional, honest, and genuine. A pleasure to do business with. We had a ton of wood rot all around our door which was redone and a new wood door installed. We also had Bill and Rick make built ins for either side of our fireplace in our den, which turned out great (they even made a mantle). We were very happy with their work and enjoyed working with them - they are very nice guys who do what they say and get the job done. Would definitely hire them again.

We contacted this contractor to price the above-mentioned work. He sent the price via text, indicating that it did not include the staircase. We assumed the rest of the work that was discussed in detail was included in the price. We hired him and he removed the breadbox and cut away the middle section of the desk; however, he did not build the doors. When we contacted him to find out when the desk would be completed, he indicated that it was not included in the price. We settled on a partial payment and parted ways. While his work was high quality, his pricing was not clear. If you hire this contractor be sure to get a detailed quote on the work to be completed and the price.

I waited a while to do this review so that I could ensure the quality after some time. We had two closets done back in 2012. Bill and crew did complete totally custom closet systems that are sturdy, good looking and extremely functional. He did a combination of different heights of closet racks, built-in drawers, shoe cubbies and shelves. There have been no issues with the craftsmanship and everything is still working properly. He was great to work with and the project turned out better than I could have anticipated. I was very pregnant at the time and they were very respectful and stuck to their timeline/expectations. They were always prompt and I felt very comfortable with the crew in my house. Bill is very trustworthy and has fair prices considering the quality of the work. I would highly recommend and would use Bill and team again in the future.

After deciding to go ahead with the work, the cabinets were ready within two weeks.? Bill was flexible to our timing needs.? The actual installation and carpentry work took a day and a half.? We couldn't ask for nicer or more professional contractors.? They even did a couple of small repairs for us as a bonus.? We are completely pleased with their work.? The price is rated as NA only because we didn't get another bid and have nothing else to compare it with.? We recommend this contractor without reservation to anyone who wants high quality work from quality people.

once and done right.We bought a new home and the garage was unfinished. We needed baseboard trim installed and Bill was recommend to us. He came by, gave us an estimate and we accepted. He came on the appointed day, did the installation and did not leave until we were satisfied. He takes pride in his work and it shows in the finished project. He doesn't take shortcuts. It is done once and done right.

Albritton does great work. Thus, it's hard to get the job scheduled, so I waited quite a while from project inception till completion. But, that was expected, and at no point did I feel that I was left hanging or uninformed. It was not a rush job, and quality and custom specification were much more important to me than schedule. The finished piece is gorgeous, fits the space well, and is a real conversation starter: I've gotten nothing but rave compliments on it.

Bill is amazing. He is prompt, responsive and enthusiastic about his work. I have loved working with him. While he was here, I asked him about a problem we were having with our floor and he took a look at it for no charge and gave me his honest opinion (which was that there was nothing that could really be done). He is honest, professional and speedy. Cannot say enough about him!

Great communications and real upbeat bunch. Really friendly and didn't let much get in the way of them doing a good job. Quality was excellent. We had them match come of the existing fixtures. They did a great job trying to accommodate that and the match was right on. We got exactly what we asked for. Highly recommended.

Bill and Rick could not have been more of a delight to work with. From the very first contact to the last attentive details (Rick came by on a Saturday to attach the rubber pads to keep the cabinets from slamming shut--something that hadn't even occurred to me), we were so impressed with the level of service they provided. We wanted to add more cabinetry to our kitchen to accommodate a wine refrigerator and extra storage. They built the cabinets to coordinate with the cabinets in the rest of the kitchen and made a beautifully custom-stained butcher block countertop for it as well. Bill's communication was superb throughout the project. It is a rare thing to find such great craftsmen who are also so attentive to the business aspects of the relationship. When planning this project we also got a quote from a distributor for the cabinets in the rest of our kitchen, and the price was about the same as what Bill charged for custom cabinetry, so his price was definitely fair. We couldn't be happier with the finished result , would recommend them to anyone, and will definitely call them when we are ready to do another project!

If you are looking for top skilled workmanship then this is the team for you. They have done two major jobs for me that enhanced the value and beauty of my home. Quality of workmanship and materials are fantastic. Built a 10 ft wall to wall, floor to ceiling custom wall unit and rebuilt my kitchen island to accommodate a beverage center and additional storage. They perfectly matched my existing wood grain and trim. They are the friendliest team to work with and honor their commitments and stand behind their work. Because they are so good they often have jobs in the queue but they are well worth the wait.

Bill is professional and friendly. He is up front about time schedule and was quick with an estimate. He let me know what was happening and when to expect my custom cabinet as wel as double checking his measurments he triple checked the paint color. His workmanship is first class and his materials are sturdy. I'm thrilled with what he built for me. I can't say enough good things.

Rick and Bill started tearing out the old steps promptly at 7 AM. For 2 days, Rick measured, cut and installed wood pieces that took the form of my sketch. The next 2 days, Bill sanded, stained and applied 3 coats of polyurethane on everything. Within four days, I have the most beautiful set of usable garage steps imaginable!
If you want quality carpentry work done, bookshelves, cabinets, sliding barn doors or steps, etc., Bill & Rick are the team to call.

I was very pleased with the work they performed. They removed my old cabinet and installed it in the garage for me.
The new pantry/cabinet provides room now for my canned goods and also provides book shelves to store cookbooks and display my pottery.
I will definately use them again for other custom work. I already have my next project in mind!

See above - these guys can do anything within the scope of carpentry from building basic framing, to trim carpentr,y to difficult wooed restoration projects. We can't use all the superlatives to properly describe how excellent they are; easy to work with; communicate well and give very fair pricing.

Bill and Rick are absolutely the best. I first met Bill to discuss ideas, dimensions, and dates. I wanted prices for two bathroom vanities to replace pedestal sinks (no storage - yuck), a large cabinet over a toilet, and a medicine cabinet between the studs of each bathroom. I ended up going ahead and getting all of the work done and I wish I'd done it years ago. Bill got back to me with individual prices on each cabinet and a couple different configuration options. He also gave me a list of names of other service providers he had worked with and could recommend (jackpot). I waited a month between drawings and the first vanity installation, but my work was hectic so I didn't mind. I met Rick during installation of each item and he's great too. He worked around my schedule to repair some sheet rock before medicine cabinet install. They even came by early one morning to hang mirrors I had purchased. Can't say enough good things. I'm already thinking of the next project I want done.
