First of all, Heather is extremely professional and polished. Nice initial presentation and overview, complete with professional marketing materials.
On our first meeting, we discussed having one main crew, which was repeated each time we confirmed the next appointment. Unfortunately, my "one crew" seemed to end up being ~7 different rotating cleaners, who didn't pass along where things were or special needs.
Also on our first meeting, we discussed cleaning products, one of which was Bona with a cleaning head (basically a nice terry cloth). While we agreed that I would provide the product, I was given the impression that they had the equipment ("mop"). This was not a big deal, but it's the little things that add up.
Most cleaners bring fan dusters every other time they clean, but while some of Royal Touch's staff said they subscribe to cleaning ceiling fans every other time, it seemed like they never brought the pole to clean the fans. Also, because I kept my house clean (which was noted more than several times by the cleaners), it seemed that many things were skipped, assuming that they were clean, e.g., carpeting in empty closets which had never been touched after two cleanings. Since we had workers in our attic, they tracked in some insulation. So it was easy to tell that they never vacuumed where the workers tracked in the insulation. Rather, everything was just skipped, while still charging me full rate. And unfortunately, they even left before the allotted time, which normally doesn't matter as long as the house was cleaned appropriately; however, for the first time ever, I had to call a cleaner back since my kitchen floor was still spotty and counters had stuff still on them. While the cleaners very nice when they came back and saw what was left, they said that they didn't know how to get the stuff off the floor. This is when I showed them how to clean the floors. Granted, it took some elbow grease, but that's how to keep a house clean versus just dusting.
The last cleaning helped me decide that Royal Touch was not what I thought it would be, or what it was sold as. The front of the dishwasher wasn't cleaned, nor the front of the fridge, among other things.
I guess with a company name such as this, while they are good at asking right away what special things you want cleaned, it's the normal cleaning that just wasn't there for me. If I had time to train someone each time, that would be one thing. But when you look to a company for its expertise in cleaning, you shouldn't have to point out everything.
"In response to your review,your initial scheduled date and time was for Tuesdays at 9am. Crews were changed because you requested several times to switch days. As far as areas that were left unattended; I, as well as our crews have notes from the initial visit as to what your expectations were. Unfortunately I can not control when a team finishes 5 to 10 minutes earlier than expected. With that being said,the one and only time that you sent a text saying you were unhappy with the floors and counter tops,I immediately recalled the team back to correct these issues within 5 mins. In closing, We appreciate your buisness and also apologize for any mis communication that may have occured.
