About us
Lake Norman Tile and Renovations has established itself in the Charlotte area as one of the premier speciality tile, marble and stone installers in the area. However, these installation frequently include us doing entire renovation projects in the kitchen and bathroom areas. This includes demolition, design, cabinets, electric, plumbing, flooring, trimwork, and of course tile, stone and granite. We offer free estimates and are confident you will be more than satisfied with our work. Many contractors and remodelers simply say they can do the job and then proceed to hire unproven sub-contractors. Lake Norman Tile and Renovations has decades of experience personally remodeling kitchens and bathrooms, so we are familiar with permitting, codes, and especially finding the right material and fixtures for your renovation project. In addition to the manufacturer’s warranty, all of our work is guaranteed, and we will leave your house as clean as we found it!

while I am very pleased with the final product getting them installed was a nightmare. Took months to finally get installed and missed several installation dates along the way. Nice guy but just couldn't kept putting me off
Daniel was very responsive to my inquiry and came out to look at our master bathroom and provide us a quote. He offered suggestions and listened to my "vision" of what I wanted (remove the old - shower stall, tub and sink/vanity. and pop corn ceiling. Install a new larger shower, soaking tub, sink/vanity, tile and repaint). Once we received all our quotes back and considered our options, my husband and I decided to award the job to Daniel and provided a 1800 down payment. We were not in a hurry to begin the job (as it was the week before Christmas) so we agreed that the end of January we would start. At the end of February after contacting Daniel via email / text to find out our start date he confirmed we would begin the following week. Due to rain delays that start date was extended and on March 6th the demo began.
Daniel and Kenny were here early in the morning to begin removing the old bathroom (shower, tub, toilet, vanity etc.) Before they began they covered my hardwood floors as not to damage or track in and out of my house while they made repeated trips to their trailer to remove the debris. Once everything was out Daniel had found that we had mold in a couple of spots that would need to be treated before they could begin the remodel. The following days, they began to scrape the popcorn from the ceiling and repair our walls of *many* imperfections. They worked on the new framing and setting the shower floor for waterproofing before they could begin any tiling. The plumber also made a trip out and moved our lines to accommodate the new drains for the shower / tub and we went from two sinks to one. We did have delays to our timelines of 3-4 weeks as the Flu had tightened its grip on Daniel and the tile crew. Slowly construction creeped along, painting of the walls was completed and the new soaking tub was installed. Finally the day came and the tile crew showed up - these men do amazing work and were always smiling.. They had their music playing softly in the background while they spent long hours in our bathroom cutting, installing and grouting tile. This crew was never disruptive and cleaned up their work space before leaving. (very much appreciated as we work from home) After the tile and the grout had set it was as you say a whirlwind afterwards.. Everything seemed to fall into place and we have a beautiful completed master bath.
Side notes: the tub that we had decided on was replaced by another before it was installed. Daniel was able to get an upgraded tub and offered the tub / savings to us if we wanted it, which we gladly accepted. Secondly, the vanity that we had picked out Daniel had placed the order for and once it arrived it was damaged. Instead of pushing our dates out again while waiting for a new vanity to arrive, Daniel drove to Fayetteville (from Charlotte) to pick up another that was in stock and had it for us the next morning.
Over all we are very pleased with our new master bathroom and how it turned out. We did have delays, we did have miscommunication and we continued to work together to achieve the end goal, which was our new and improved master bathroom.

The bathroom has turned out amazing! We are extremely happy with the end result. I would not hesitate to work with Daniel again on another project.

I had to fight for each feature I wanted in the room; Daniel was negative about all my choices, but after making me believe the idea would not work, agreed to each feature. By then, I was second-guessing my choices, and so many times, thought I should abandon my original design goal just to make it simpler.
I found that Daniel did not think ahead to the strategy of the project. For example: Rather than measuring the placement of the water hook-up on the sink cabinet, he had to call the plumber back again for adjustment to the pipes from the wall, costing another couple days. Several instances like that were just shameful.
The finished product is BEAUTIFUL, and basically well-done. There were several small things left undone, but not worthy of mention. The main issue is that he DID NOT HONOR the "Big Deal" I purchased. Nearing the end, he requested more money, which I thought was a lapse in memory (that I had paid up front). Being such a small bathroom, and the fact that I PURCHASED the sink/cabinet, shower and sink faucets, mirror, sconces, towel bars and paint, I was stunned at the request for additional funds. End of deal, he charged me $8500. Springing that much difference on a client at end of project seems very unprofessional to me.
My husband and I purchased the Angie?s Deal for up to 35sq ft of granite for $1499 on May 22, 2014. Shortly after purchase Daniel contacted us to figure out a day to come and take measurements. Within a week (if not less) from purchase he and his partner Manuel came and took the measurements. Next my husband and I met Daniel on 6/13 at the granite warehouse and selected our slab. Of course it takes time for the granite to be prepared for install, so that was expected and acceptable. The issue is we continually had to contact Daniel for updates on our granite and when it would/could be installed. In addition, I had to continually ask him to send me the invoice which I never received (even to date). This was extremely frustrating given this was our first home improvement project, BUT we continued to be patient and understanding since it was clear the Angie?s Deals overwhelmed Daniel with business. Install FINALLY happened on 7/31 and the countertops look great. The only issue with install was they damaged my cabinet in the process which Daniel said he will resolve and currently a work in progress.
Daniel is very creative, helpful when it comes to design and does great work, but there are many areas for improvement. It is extremely important to keep clients updated on the progress of their project, especially when busy. This will ensure they know what is happening currently and what will be happening next. In the event these things change the client should be notified ASAP and should not have to constantly reach out first. In addition clients should be provided a written invoice before the service is performed so they are clear the costs they will incur. I will partially take blame for this because I should have refused payment until I received the invoice EVEN though me and my husband asked many times and provided several different email addresses, but never received an invoice. With all that said, while Daniel does excellent work I am not sure I would work with him again. I
hope the sole reason for some of the challenges we faced throughout our project was due to the unexpected volume of purchases of the Angie?s Deal, but even then you have to be more organized and keep clients informed throughout the process.
"Thank you for the review. I am pleased to say it was great working with you . Your kitchen looks great. Good choice of color . :) Enjoy your new space . Daniel Pantis"
"Thank you both for the review. It was a pleasure working with you. Enjoy your new kitchen !! Daniel Pantis"
This year for the first time I hosted Christmas at my home for my family. It was the perfect time for us to update the kitchen.
I have a very large kitchen and a set budget to work with. I did a lot of research and Daniel at Lake Norman Tile and Renovations was the only company that I spoke to that was ....honest enough to walk me through all the costs.
He promised that he could get the job done prior to Christmas. On Thursday prior to Christmas the team arrived and the counter tops were removed and new ones were installed. A side desk shelving was taken down and although very tight was a perfect fit.
Even though it was the holidays, special arrangements were made when the equipment did not work to come back on Sunday to complete. He and his team are prompt with follow up.
My countertops and back splash are really beautiful. The last piece to complete my project will be the delivery of the cutting board I requested when the marble was cut.
We are finishing up with a new kitchen, which also has challenging features. We look forward to seeing how amazing that will turn out as well. We would recommend Lake Norman Tile and Renovations to anyone else looking to do renovation or tile work.
"Thank you for your review Sir, Hope you enjoy your new kitchen space > Daniel Pantis"
Daniel is meticulous in his work and obviously takes great pride in his work. The new bathroom turned out great. He pays attention to the smallest detail and it shows in his work. The new bathroom looks beautiful. He installed tub, toilet, sink and new tile. He painted entire bathroom including trim.
