 + -1 moreJohn seems to be a perfectionist about his work and isn't happy about it unless it is done right. He was able to slide the flooring right under the dishwasher by just adjusting the dishwasher legs. That was helpful in that we didn't need to hire a plumber to come disconnect the dishwasher and reconnect again when the job was completed. He moved the oven himself and only had to reinstall the leg guides on the back wall at a higher level due to the depth difference once the laminate was laid down. He moved the refrigerator and plugged it immediately into another socket so my food stayed nice and cold while he worked in that area and then moved it back in place once again. He put nice finishing touches on the quarter round which I doubt a lot of contractors would bother to do and installed the thresholds beautifully. My husband and I were totally pleased with his work and will call upon him again for any of our future flooring jobs as well as recommend him to family and friends.
Description of Work: John installed laminate flooring in my kitchen on top of old, beat-up wood flooring. He installed new quarter round throughout and three thresholds. He came to my house previously and gave me an estimate on his labor and told me how much square footage of flooring to buy and the number of feet in quarter round and thresholds to buy. He even offered to go pick up all the materials from wherever I ended up buying it, if it didn't fit in my car. John was extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly, neat, hardworking and I highly recommend him for any of your flooring needs. He also has years and years of experience laying floors and that became evident in our discussions regarding the type of flooring my husband and I were considering. He showed up promptly at 9:15 in the morning on the day of the job and worked straight through 6:30 in the evening without taking a break. The floor is beautiful and we are so pleased with a job well done! John also previously installed porcelain tile in our small foyer. We were equally pleased with his job performance that day which is why we called upon him for our kitchen floor.
