Portions of the yard were not turned over. They didn't touch the lawn on the side of our garage; when I mentioned this they threw seed on top of compacted dirt. A lot of seed wasn't planted. Peat moss was not used at all. I reminded Bryan twice of trimming the wax myrtles, and his response was, "I don't have the equipment for that." They did not check the irrigation system until I demanded they do. One they decided was broken and took it out, saying they would replace it. A day later Bryan showed up saying they were done and wanting to get paid. We had a hole in the yard flooded with water where the head needed to be replaced and the yard was not done. This is when he said he told us he was charging us to take care of the sprinkler head. I had to adjust 8 heads myself including replacing 2 that they had torn the heads off of and redoing the one they replaced and planted in mulch because they ran out of dirt. Less than 50% of our lawn came up. We redid the lawn ourselves.
Description of Work: Bryan came out to do our estimate, and we walked the entire yard and told him specifically what we wanted done, and he agreed to take care of everything we discussed for $3500. We paid 50% up front. We got quotes for less than $3000 but decided to go with him because he was willing to work with our time line and promised to come back and make sure we had a successful lawn. We have approx. 3/4 acre. We had cleared a creek bank, but we still had brush that we needed dumped. We have 8 wax myrtles that needed pruned. We wanted our irrigation system checked to make sure it was running properly and covering the entire lawn. We needed a portion of the yard regraded with dirt added. We wanted the entire lawn turned over, topsoil added, grass seed rolled in, peat moss used as well as straw on inclines. When they were done because we were concerned about quality, I told him we'd pay him 2 weeks after the seed was planted to make sure he would follow up, he became irate. We withheld $250.00.
