Our experience with Carolina Cuts has been mixed.  We will no longer consider them for future work.
The first point of engagement was residential shrub trimming.  The Carolina Cuts team quoted a reasonable price and did a good job.
The second point of engagement was autumn of 2014 for leaf removal.  We were quoted $99 for the job.  After the team arrived I went out to let them know I unlocked the gate to the back yard and received blank stares.  Apparently $99 only covers the front yard (2 trees).  The crew of 3 could have performed the work in 20 minutes.  I pointed out $99 for half a yard for 20 minutes of work was very excessive.  They agreed to do the back yard (1 tree of leaves).  It added 10 minutes to their time spent.
The third and last engagement has been for lawn cutting service.  When I engaged Carolina Cuts they had already been through our neighborhood (by a Tuesday) but promised they would let us know when/if they could get to us.  We heard nothing further.  By Friday I noticed the front yard had been cut, but nobody had come to the door, or given any notice they would come, and they did not cut the back yard.  (Our lot is maybe a third of an acre, not large.)  We received an invoice for $40 for the whole yard the following week.  I informed them of the half job and thought that the invoice was too high for half a yard, and the back yard still needed to be cut.  They promised to do it the following week.  I thanked them got the adjusted invoice for the front yard ($25) and will not be using them in the future.  
I do not understand the half efforts.

Our grass is green and Kevin and Gil are really good to work with. Their communication is good and they don't charge for unnecesary services such as when they let us know they we didn't need to aerate twice a year.

They did a really lovely job on my shrubs. The price was phenomenal. The area was neat and clean, very happy! Gayle is also a very nice and knowledgeable person.

They were extremely professional during the quote process. They were thorough in determining exactly what I wanted done and provided a very detailed description of services provided. They were slightly more expensive then my current provider but I have been extremely happy with the services provided.
I plan to work with them on some landscaping services as well.
I give them very high marks for their professionalism. They have been extremely good to work with.

They seemed to be responsive and they felt like a neighborhood company which was kind of nice.

So far I have been very satisfied with the weekly maintenance. The crew shows up as scheduled and provides a professionally mowed and edged lawn for a great price.

I did not hear from them for three days and I called someone else. The next day they called to inform that they would come over to work. I told them that I called another company but then used them as we had set a prior appointment. They did an excellent job on the bushes. They finished the job quickly within 2 hours. The person who came seemed to be nice and I am happy with his work. It was a great experience except for their responsiveness.

We used this company for almost a year. Maybe our expectations are too high, but we were not pleased with the quality of service. If you are looking for a company who will come in and do "just the minimum" - this is the company for you. We were used to a lawn service who didn't just walk past a 2 ft weed growing in the planter of which they were mowing around. This company will pull those weeds for you, but only if you specifically tell them to do so. When we became unhappy with the quality, Gail was very responsive to try to help but we were already down the disappointment path. I need a company that goes above and beyond and who takes pride in the lawns that they service. Our yard looks terrible and has 3 different kinds of stuff growing throughout it. If I am hiring someone to own the lawn care... I expect them to care about the lawn.

Great - they are very knowledgable and offer advice where needed.

They are very easy to work with, promptly return calls, gave me an excellent price, and are prompt in performing the weekly work. All work has been of very good quality and I definitely recommend them to others!

Straight forward. Called them they came out gave me a quote and I agreed to have them start taking care of my lawn. So far it has been great. I am discussing other services with them at the moment and will be using them going forward.

They are wonderful to work with. They offer good advice and suggestions and they keep in touch about how the landscaping is working. They follow up with me and my yard looks great!
