A-Z Landscapes

Work performed in December 2017/January 2018, completed February 2018. The guys showed up on time when they said they were going to come out to perform the work. Zach, the owner, was rarely onsite, and very difficult to connect with. The work was completed in the time frame projected, and honestly the work looked good once completed. However, the last few days they were here, they rushed to complete the job as they had to get to another job. We were having some issues with the dry creek bed not working properly to direct the water where we needed it to go. After many attempts, we were finally able to get Zach back out to our property, as he said "he doesn't make it up this way that often", to assess the situation with the creek bed as well as a few plants and a very expensive tree that had died already or were dying. At that time, the owner reiterated that we had a one year warranty on all plants and we could have them replaced in the fall if needed. He said he would come out to fix the creek bed (for which he was going to charge us MORE money) in June 2018 and never showed up and we were unable to get him to respond until December 2018. At this point we decided to simply request to have the tree replaced since it was so expensive, but he indicated, via text as he would not return phone calls, there was no warranty and we were SOL. The owner is dishonest and will not stand by his word. We would not recommend A-Z Landscapes based on our experience with the owner. We spent a LOT of money ($40,000) with this guy and would expect him to have the decency to replace a single dead tree without lying to us and calling us a nasty name because we called him out for not standing by his word. He is unprofessional and untrustworthy.

Getting them on site was the biggest hurdle. They were supposed to start in early fall of 2016 but they delayed the start several times by a total of 12 weeks and it was the middle of winter before they started. Once they were here, the folks were nice and the quality was pretty good, not perfect but good. I would use them again and if they did a little better across the board the second time, I may recommend them.

They arrived on time on the day they said they would and stayed with the job until completed.

I was not satisfied with how this turned out. They have a loft opinion of the work and himself. He thinks he is much better than he is. One day he told me he had cleaned out the branches in my tree area, like it was amazing, and what he ended up doing was throwing them over my fence into my neighbors. All the things he promised the first time he came out here never happened. If there was a problem he would always get an attitude about it.

They were very professional and always on time. They cleaned up after themselves every day, and treated our property just like their own.
