It's rare to find a tradesman who is so extremely knowledgeable about his trade and takes the greatest pride in providing the highest quality service. This owner knows vacuums inside and out. If you are interested, he will even provide a fascinating history of vacuum cleaners and let you in on little-known secrets of the various vacuum makes and models. He immediately was able to troubleshoot the problem I was having with my vacuum, gave me a very fair quote of what it was going to cost to fix it, and promised me (to the day) when it was going to be ready for pickup. He would rather repair your vacuum than try to sell you a new one, but if I were interested in buying a new vacuum, he would be the first one I would ask for an unbiased recommendation. He is a solid professional, a tribute to his trade, and he deserves the highest of ratings!

Very Well. Did not take long to diagnose or replace.

First told me $80 to just touch machine. Then told me all filters needed replaced and looked like a suction issue as dust around one spot. This before even addressed me about stuck cap. Then manager told me why Dysons were bad - "not hygienic" - his words. Also said only Asia would manufacturer them since other countries knew how bad they were. I told him I needed to think about it - glad I listened to my gut! Got in car with vacuum. Called Dyson Service. Great tech after a short wait - Eric said filters should never need to be replaced. Talked me through what to try when got home and emailed me names of 2 locations near me that are Dyson repair specialists. Got home - fixed for free in minutes and also washed and cleaned my filters. Bottom line - this company and their team are happy to service devices he dislikes and take your money! Had I left my Dyson would have been $150 at a minimum and it was an easy fix! Had this guy helped me by taking 10 seconds to poke out the little cap and not charge me he would have had a future customer. Instead he showed his true colors and motivation.

I called this company and spoke with Doug. I live in Waxhaw and wanted to know if they would even come out to service my central vac. He said they did, but it would run approximately $160. He very frankly told me there may be a few things I could try on my own to save money. He said he would love my business, but wasn't going to go down that route and charge me the trip fee and wait time of an hour drive for something that could be fixed by me. Doug explained everything thoroughly and was very pleasant to speak with. I may not have used his services today, but if the need ever occurred, I wouldn't think twice regardless of how far he was from me. Good service, good man, and honest company. Family owned and I could tell immediately that Doug wasn't out to nickel and dime. He even educated me on other central vacs as potential options for my home. This company should really only be the one and only central vac "go to" in all of Charlotte in my opinion. I called other companies and still no word from anyone else. Thanks Doug for helping me out. Your advise was golden and helped!! It was a dirty job, but my filter was filthy!!!

Well, Jerry is a master when it comes to central vac systems. He is very meticulous about his work and as a customer, I wouldn't want it any other way. He first looked at everything first then made his decision on the best way to accomplish the job. He was very clean, can't even tell he was working in our house today other than the container being gone. He is very professional. He was extremely fair on his price as well. There is a lot of work that goes into this stuff and he deserves every dime. Would I use him again? Absolutely!! Would I send him over to my friends and family's house? Yes, absolutely

Doug remembered which vacuum bags I needed and hooked me up quickly. He also took the time to educate me on vacuums earlier this year and helped me select the right one for my needs. Service and prices are unbeatable. I will always make the special trip to pick up vacuum supplies at A-1 rather than at the big brand stores. Support local, small business owners! :-]

It was my second visit to A-1 Vacuum Solution. Both times, Doug (the guy who takes care of every order/repair/whatever) was very helpful in figuring out the problems with my steam cleaner, which is quite old (more than 5 years old). This store even sells refurbished vacuum/steam cleaner, if the repair cost is more than you wanted to spend. You can even borrow a cleaner while yours is being repaired. He also keeps you informed of the process, such as when the parts should arrive, when it should be picked up, etc. Overall service is just great. Soon I will be bringing my Dyson for cleaning and tune-up.
