He was unable to square the foundation with the existing home. I had an engineer come and pull measurements for the squareness of the foundation itself. The diagonals were 7/8and quot; out of square. The standard is within an 1/8and quot;. After several encounters about the foundation not being square with the house, I decided to cut ties. He became very hostile on the phone calling me a liar and saying he was going to put a lien against my home. I paid him for what work he performed. A friend and I ripped out his work and squared a new foundation with the house, something neither of us had done before. I had a different company pour the new foundation.

It took him about 2 months to finish the concrete decking. Some of this was because of rain, but shortly after pouring the concrete there were several cracks. I called him 9 times to let him know about the issue and called the concrete manufacturer and they had him come out to try to some repairs, however, it was too late at this point. The concrete company offered to provide the concrete for free if Patrick Holland Footing broke out the existing concrete. He was concerned that it would break the concrete further and stated that he would not be responsible for additional damage. It has been about a month an a half and he has still not finished.

I called Mr. Holland to get our patio extended. He gave me the estimate over the phone. Due to his good ratings on Angie's list I decided to hire him. We scheduled him to come on April 19th. Unfortunately, my husband needed to go to the emergency room at 1:00 in the morning so I called Mr. Holland at 7:00 am to ask if we could reschedule. He stated he already has his crew scheduled. So I agreed to have him come. I came home from the hospital and stayed through the morning to let them do their work. They seemed to know what they were doing so I told the crew I needed to get back to the hospital and asked if they needed anything. They said no. So I went back to the hospital. My husband was released and we drove home. However, when we arrived home my husband was in so much pain we had to go back to the hospital. I asked Mr. Holland what the process was and if they needed to come back to remove the braces. He said they were just waiting for it to dry. He gave no indication that anything was needed on my part. I drove my husband back to the hospital. While I was sitting in the waiting room at the hospital emergency center, Mr. Holland called and said they were ready to be paid. I reminded him that I was at the emergency room and could pay him tomorrow. He asked "Which hospital?" I told him and he hung up. I put a check in the mailbox early the next morning. My husband was in the hospital for several days. On Saturday, I noticed that they had dumped a couple of piles of cement behind our yard in a ditch. I called Mr. Holland and left a message. No returned call. I called back on Monday. No returned call. I called back at 4:00 pm on Monday. He answered and told me they had to dump it somewhere. I told him as a professional he should have plans to haul any excess cement away. He said he would remove the dumped cement. He never did. I had to pay another company to move the cement he had dumped.Although the patio itself looks fine. I didn't appreciate Mr. Holland's lack of professionalism.

He did an excellent job, there were no problems and everything went really well. He was a great guy to do business with. The project was also completed on time as per the contract.

Patrick is absolutely fantastic! Superb customer service and very detailed oriented, Patrick was prompt everyday and I did not have to wait more than a day to get any of our new ideas come to fruition in the construction of our new driveway and retaining wall.

They removed the old driveway, excavated and removed 4 huge stumps (completely), dug and positioned the french drains sites, laid the french drain pipes, designed the new driveway (wider than the original) plus the addition of a half-circle driveway (about tripled the amount of concrete we originally had), formed and framed it, ran PVC pipes for underground sprinkler and low-voltage lighting wire, then poured the new driveway by sections (and finished it themselves).

They also stained and stamped the concrete for the front stoop and sidewalk leading up to the half-circle driveway. They constructed a beautiful retaining wall, with embedded low-voltage lighting (8 of them) within the wall itself, on the inside of the half-circle driveway due to the grade of the lawn.

They also laid 3 pallets of sod we had delivered by a landscape company on the last day of this project. Absolutely will use them again! Already scheduled a Nov/Dec appointment with them to construct our backyard patio (pavers), resurface our pool deck and to rebuild a huge retaining wall behind the inground pool.

Mr. Holland came and surveyed the area that we wanted to have a driveway placed. While he was here he was very professional, he was very percise, and he was very direct. He is very knowledgeable about the work that he does and kept us informed every step of the way. Mr. Holland, was punctual and did everything he said he would do and more. We are very pleased with the job that he has done. We have already scheduled another job with him that will take place within 6 months of the prior job.

When the final decision had been made to have the work completed, we contacted Mr. Holland as one of the three we normally call for an estimate. He was very professional and listened to all our wants and had a variety of colors and stamps to choose from to decorate the concrete. We had gone back and forth on whether we were going to do a sidewalk or not and whenever we contacted Mr. Holland he was always courteous and honest and most of all patient. We finally made the decision to go with our original plan and have the sidewalk and patio completed. We obtained a signed contract on Monday and as promised work began Thursday morning promptly at 8 am. The workers were all respecftful and as I walked around just being nosy they were doing what was expected. I have seen enough DIY shows to know how forms are supposed to be put in and all was going as expected. They completed the forms and the truck arrived to begin pouring. Because work was in the back yard, they used one of those small driving things to deliver the concrete around back. The color was mixed along with the concrete on the truck and they rinsed everything off in the street. I was a little leary because the stain was clearly visable trailing down the street. When the truck left and all concrete had been set, they cleaned everything and even washed down the street. Again, I was a little leary because I could still see stain going down the street but I was assured that all would be pressure washed and cleaned when everything was complete. Stain and stamp was applied to the concrete before it could completely settle. They returned on Friday, late afternoon, as promised and powerwashed everything, including the street. And yes, after powerwashing the street there was no longer any residue of stain left creeping down the neighborhood. They could not return until the following week to apply the sealer, there were rain clouds visible and rain was expected most of the weekend. Mr. Holland called on Monday morning and said that he would return on Wed, as that was the date predicted for the rain to stop. As predicted and promised, he returned to seal and gather up some of the forms that he left in a pile in the the back yard. All of his work was as promised and we are more than thrilled with our new outdoor space! All I need now is an outdoor kitchen, but my husband is not convinced about that.
