Josh's Lawn Care Service Inc

After leaving the original report listed above from last year we called Josh's to have some work done this year and get on a lawncare contract. Not only was he over 2 1/2 hours late to arrive without calling (my dinner sat waiting as I didn't want to sit down and then have him show up). His prices have gone through the roof. We have a small 3 bedroom ranch house. We wanted a 10x10 area raked (30 minutes for me), a flower bed SPRAYED (we provide spray) with weed killer (20 minutes for me) not even weeded, the driveway only edged not the complete yard (1 hour), the fence line of small brush cut down and sprayed (our spray)(1 hour) and a 12 x 12 area spread with mulch and edged. We buy the mulch, we transport the mulch (he said he'd charge 100 delivery fee off the top if he picked up the mulch). He final charge was $750.00!! I can tell you that if that is a 8 hour day and I am positive that it could be done in a 8 hour day that is 93.75 per HOUR! His grass cutting and edging (just the driveway) contract price is now 70.00 a visit. Gone is the good service and good pricing. Last time last year he mowed our lawn his mower deck was tilted and he killed the grass in streaks on my lawn. He offered a free mow this year so I figured we'd try him again. Not with those prices and lack of professionalism. We had also requested every single time to have the grass bagged and it never was once. We let that go because we assumed it wasn't communicated to his mower guy. My sister had him pull some weeds and he quoted 50.00 (2 hours) and he came back and wanted more money. She gave him 40.00 more because her husband asked them to trim a small hedge (not the entire house). They started as she left for church and were finished before she came home. Josh came back and asked for more money. She told him 90.00 is all she is going to give him. So we part ways with what was once a good company. Not any longer. I believe he has gotten too big from my previous Angieslist listing.

They were good and showed up when they were supposed to. I will use them again in the future.
