The seating suspension straps for our outdoor wicker sofa had stretched to the point where it was not possible to comfortably sit on the sofa as the cushions would sink far too low. Replacement straps were available from the manufacturer, but I could see that they would eventually stretch out, as well. So happy to have found Barry, who did a phenomenal job of replacing the straps with far superior webbing material, much more durable than the original, which he carefully riveted to the frame: as a result, I’m pretty sure this sofa will now outlast me. :) Difficult to find this type of expertise these days. Exceedingly pleased with Barry’s stellar workmanship, and highly recommend; he’s also a super-nice guy.

Barry replaced the old webbing and re-wove newer, much higher quality webbing to the frames. He also used a superior attachment method, different from the original. His finished product is much better than new.

Barry was prompt, efficient and honest. He did the work on site. It cost more than ordering the webbing through a dealer but that price doesn't include installation. I highly recommend his services.

Barry told me in November that it would be after the first of they year due to other work he had done. I checked with him twice to see status and his timing was right on. The work was not inexpensive but his quote was right in ballpark of others I had gotten. He was very pleasant to work with and work was very professionally done. While he only offered the repair work and not the painting and upholstery work that was also needed, you could tell he was a true craftsman with wicker.

It was three times the amount I had spent before for the same service. Too expensive! Did no offer full service on staining the cane for that exaggerated price. Would rather buy a new furniture than spending on staining with this guy! I had to show the item in person to get a quote. And this guy is located 70 miles away from where I live. I could have said no but after travelling 70 miles I just went ahead and agreed, a one time proposition (not again).

"I am very surprised by your review. No problems were ever mentioned when the work was done. I always offer all my customers a chance to send me pictures by email to evaluate the repair cost before you agree on the job. A price was quoted and you agreed to bring it. I do NOT stain or refinish, although I can refer a professional who does. I only offer replacement of materials and gluing needed to repair. The price given is calculated on material, equipment and time involved to replace caning on a chair. Fixing wicker and caning is a rare art. I am sorry that you live so far away and there was no one any closer to do the work."
