The Groutsmith

The work was satisfactory initially. There we some spots that did not look right, but overall it was fair work. Within about 8 months we were starting to see mold and mildew forming in places suggesting that it was improperly sealed. Initially we could control it but within a couple of moths it was horrible. The caulking then started coming up. I have called twice and emailed once to speak to the owner about coming out to repair, but he did not return my call. He says he is busy?? I will update this review and and when he returns my call and repairs his faulty work.

I hired this company out of the Raleigh, NC area to repair a ceramic tile shower. The grout had cracked and needed repaired and sealed. The cosmetic quality of their work is good, not great. The grout/caulk/sealant they used around the base of our ceremic tile shower began to fail after a few months. The problem with these guys is they don't honor their warranty. I called them 4 times, each time Kyle said he'd get back to me and never did. The 4th phone call wasn't even returned. Lame. Don't hire these guys - they don't honor their warranty.

We were very pleased with the results. Our shower looks like new again and he went above and beyond to ensure the surrounding surfaces blended in as well.  We would for sure use the Groutsmith again, have referred him to others and would highly recommend to anyone.

We could have made a better selection on the quarry tile sealer (our choice).  There were a few spots on the quarry tile that weren't thoroughly cleaned, but to be fair, this floor had not been stripped and re-seal in over 15 years so, there was a lot of build-up.  The color grout was difficult, Groutsmith had to dig out the old grout.  Groutsmith was diligent, I'm sure they didn't bargain for that level of difficulty.
