Over the years we have built a house & remodeled several houses. Our experience with Rochester Contractors has been among the best experience. From the start Tony & Danise were able to take our ideas, thoughts & visions & transfer them into designs & reality. They were open to our suggestions & changes. All their sub-contractors & their sons were polite, easy to work with, experienced & always cleaned up their work area each day. We were kept abreast of each contractor's schedule. After the actual project is completed " follow-up" is important. Rochester Contractor's excel at this & many times go beyond what is expected. Although ,a remodeling project is long & messy - Tony & Danise made it as easy & pleasant as possible. We are very happy with our bathrooms especially our master bathroom - strange as it may sound it is one of our favorite rooms in the house!
"Dear [Member Name Removed], Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We take pride in our work and it makes us happy to to make our customers dreams a reality! It was such pleasure and we hope you enjoy your new baths ! Sincerely, Danise and Tony Ciaccia"
Rochester is the only contracting company we will use from now on. We had the best experience working with Danise and Tony and have recommended them to everyone we know who has remodeling projects.
Danise worked with us on the design and selecting finishes, while Tony focused more on the construction/functional side (taking measurements, estimating, creating options for us). Danise was so accommodating, flexible, and patient, meeting with us at many tile shops to choose finishes. Tony had great ideas and came up with options/suggestions that we never would have thought of. They were very detail-oriented and made sure to update the project estimate every time we made changes.
Once the project got underway, we were extremely impressed with the care they took to cover the floors and surrounding area to keep it clean and not do any damage. They cleaned up at the end of every day and tried to leave us with as much usable kitchen space as possible. Since one of us works from home, they took special care to communicate what work would be done when and coordinate when they needed to be quiet.
Throughout the process, their level of communication was excellent. They were very responsive, honest, and transparent. There simply is no comparison to other builders/contractors we have worked with. So easy to work with and trustworthy. We felt completely at ease letting them enter and lock up the house with no one else at home.
We could not be happier with the final results ? everything looks perfect. The quality of the work is outstanding, and their sub-contractors are top-notch.
Keep in mind that they are busy, and for good reason. It may take longer to get on their schedule, but it is absolutely worth the wait. We are already in discussions with them for the next renovation project on our house.
"Thank you so much for taking the time to review us and tell about your experience. We appreciate your kind words and your business and look forward to working with you on your next project. Thanks again!"
We love our new kitchen! The colors of all the finishes are beautiful together.
The kitchen is now a much more functional and enjoyable room. We have much more cabinet space. The space is more efficient as well -- we have roll out shelves and especially like the spice cabinet next to the stove. The lighting is fabulous, we love the pendants, the "under-the-cabinet" lighting, and the dimmers. Our refrigerator was moved to a better and more accessible location. The shelving above the washer and dryer will now accommodate our warehouse club kitchen products.
Noteable highlights: Tony came up with a backsplash design that was exactly what we had in mind!! Danise is a fabulous cook!!
Tony and Danise are very professional, courteous, personable, most accommodating, all around genuine, kind and trustworthy people. We have felt so priveleged to know and work with them.
"Thanks so much for your kind words! We loved creating a beautiful new kitchen for you both and really appreciate your business. We hope you enjoy your new kitchen! Thanks again, Danise and Tony"
Walls were removed in some rooms and added in others. The kitchen ceiling, which had been lowered, was raised making the kitchen look much bigger and brighter. One of the biggest challenges was lowering the raised living room floor with its dangerous 20-foot long 7-inch step down to the hallway. This included installing a new floor with hardwood that matched the rest of the wood in the house and reworking an entire two-story high wall of windows!
In addition to the many structural improvements, almost the entire house was renewed including flooring, cabinetry, and molding, and there were 3 complete bathroom remodels! The project included electrical, plumbing, drywall, glass, tile and stone work, etc... Danise was especially helpful in guiding us to good decorating choices. It helped a lot to be able to talk ideas over with her before having to make decisions.
The scope of the project was huge. I especially appreciated Tony's flexibility and willingness to help us develop ideas to make the renovation even more special than originally planned.
Tony is very knowledgeable but never hesitated to call in the expertise of others (architect, engineer, etc.) when needed. He works with good subcontractors and takes the responsibility for the end product no matter who the workman is. It is very comforting to know that you can rely on Tony at all times.
Thank you, Danise and Tony, for helping make our house a home we can love and enjoy!
"Thank you for the great review. It was a pleasure working with you to create a beautiful new bathroom. We hope you enjoy it in the years to come. Thanks again we appreciate the kind words and the business."
Danise was a big help in picking out the new paint colors, flooring and carpet. She was able to understand what colors we liked how we wanted to "hide dirt" and was able to help us pick out the laminate, carpet and paint colors to give us everything we wanted and retain a modern clean look. She made sure we were well informed about what was happening on days when Tony was not as readily available. Both of them were great communicators as we typically talked with Tony on just about a daily basis. Our questions were always answered quickly.
We are very happy with the quality of the work that Tony and his crew performed. They were all clean, courteous and professional. Especially the electrical, trim carpentry and flooring were outstanding and exceeded our expectations. When we are ready to renovate the next floor of our house we will definitely be calling Tony first.
"Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. We appreciate your kind words and enjoyed working with you to create a warm , beautiful new space for your lower level. We hope that you will enjoy it and really appreciate your business. Sincerely, Danise & Tony"
Rochester Contracting Network was an exceptional company to work with. Tony is widely knowledgeable, conscientious, kind, and holds his work to high standards. RCN spared no effort in remodeling my bathrooms, and they look great. I most highly recommend Tony and his team's expertise to anyone who needs work of any type done in their home.
"Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. It was our pleasure to work with you to create a beautiful new bathroom! We enjoy our work and appreciate your business and working with special customers like you. Thanks again!"
"Sorry you are getting this so late! Thank you so much for the review on Angie's List! It was our pleasure to help with your kitchen project and hope that you are enjoying it! We really appreciate your business. Sincerely, Danise & Tony Ciaccia"
The project was done on time and on budget. The plans were concise and reflected a creative approach to space utilization and very close attention to detail. The recommended products were of high quality and we had a variety of options from which to choose. The coordination among all those involved was excellent and we were carefully communicated with during all phases of our remodel. Danise and Tony were in constant contact with us and response time to any question was immediate. A pleasure to work with, we heartily recommend Rochester Contracting Network; in fact, we have scheduled another bathroom for remodel.
Outstanding customer service and workmanship. The best contractor ever and easy to work with.
"Dear [removed member name], It was our pleasure to help you in creating your dream kitchen. Thank you for the kind words. We really appreciate your business and look forward to creating a beautiful new bathroom for you in the Spring. Thanks again, Danise & Tony Ciaccia"
Once we had the estimate written, we found that the township needed an architect to draw out official designs to show how the main wall was going to be supported. Since this requirement came after the estimate, Tony paid for this out of his own pocket.
Once work began, it was quickly apparent that Tony used high quality sub contractors. The framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall/finishing, and painting were all done by courteous and professional guys. Extra care was taken to ensure that the dust/noise from the construction would not adversely affect my pregnant wife and 2yr old daughter. Even when we discovered some drywall dust in the main floor, Tony offered to pay for cleaning services.
"Above and beyond" is Tony's creed. During the course of the project, there were several small annoyances with my house that needed addressing (misaligned doors, poor HVAC drainage, etc). These items were minor, and Tony could have charged me to make these repairs....but he didn't. This act along cost very little as far as time and effort, but they went a long way in proving his dedication to his clients.
Overall, the work is fantastic. The finished product is well above my expectations. Tony's wife, Danise, helped us with all of the finishing touches...paint color, bathroom fixtures, carpet, etc. She has excellent taste, and added a nice personal touch to project. There is a real sense that Tony and Danise really care about each and every project, and the people they work with. Once our baby was born, he was even thoughtful enough to bring by a gift. I cannot recommend them enough.
"Dear [removed member name], Thank you so much for the kind words of review. We appreciate you taking the time in such a busy time of your life. It was a pleasure meeting you and we wish you the best in the future. Your addition looks great and I'm sure the kids will enjoy it! Take care and Congratulations again! Danise and Tony Ciaccia"
"Dear Customer, Thank you for the review. We appreciate the praise and enjoyed helping you create a great new kitchen. Thanks again!"
The tile work came out particularly good and this is what I'm the happiest with. Tony did the tile work himself, where the other contractors depended on bringing in tile subcontractors. Tony seemed to enjoy it and discussed options he suggested along the way, which resulted in a better looking job at the end. I doubt this would have happened with a sub crew who would be there a couple days and not come back. I'm sure it made the job last a few days longer, but in retrospect, I'd not want to do it any other way. I appreciated the smaller crew approach as well, since it limited the number of different people coming in and out of the house and give us confidence in the people who were there.
Lastly, but very important, any problems were fixed - no discussion, and he honored the quote. Extra work I asked for was performed petty inexpensively, or he opted not to charge. He takes pride in his work and his reputation, which is refreshing. If I were starting this one over again, I'd ask him to come back.

"Dear Member, Thank you for taking the time to review our company. Your back splash looks so pretty with your granite colors! We are sorry we could not get there on a Saturday like we hoped but I'm so glad we got it done for your daughter's wedding. Hope everyone loved it! Thanks again and we look forward to serving you in the future."
I scheduled a meeting with RCN to get an estimate on the project. I had gotten a couple of individual estimates for painting, flooring, and electrical work, but I was interested in working with as few different companies as I could to limit finger-pointing if things went wrong. At the meeting, I met Tony and Danise (not spelled wrong) Ciaccia (probably not spelled wrong), the owners. Tony was the contractor and Danise the decorator (although both wore multiple hats through the project). The three of us walked through the house, with Tony taking pictures and both asking questions about what I wanted. This was the hardest part, because I couldn't really describe what I wanted beyond 1) something I can resell in 5-10 years, 2) something colorful, and 3) something "cheerful and relaxing". I had talked to a decorator earlier, and we had talked about some paint colors and a couple decor ideas (turning my dining room into a library being the biggest change). Tony and Danise were very receptive to my ideas, and provided a lot of valuable guidance in areas I no expertise in (basically, all areas).
Tony took the notes and pictures from the walkthrough and provided me with an estimate. And by estimate, I mean an 11-page, 130-item bullet list room by room of every material and labor cost, from removing the old carpeting down to the cost of the knobs for the bathroom cabinets. The initial estimate came in at about $23,800. Since I had budgeted $25,000 for the job using the scientific method of 25 years x $1000, his estimate was acceptable to me, and we agreed to a start date (subject to completion of his current job and my preparations for the house to be under construction). His estimate was 4-5 weeks. My mental estimate was 6-8 weeks.
The weekend before the work started, Tony, Danise and I met at Lowe's to pick out all the fixtures. We revisited the paint colors, and tweaked the choices I had made with the first decorator (the blue I had picked for the living room turned gray in certain lighting). With all the fixtures selected, we selected the carpet and vinyl flooring, and tried to match the color I had in mind for the laminate flooring. It took a while, but we found one that would do.
Tony and his crew showed up bright and early at 8:00AM on the first day. I was planning to work from home for the duration, so the project logistics required that I always have a place to work from (either my office or the living room), a place to sleep, and a functional bathroom. They started with the bedroom and master bath upstairs, and the kitchen and powder room downstairs. A couple items got added to the original project along the way (painting the kitchen, replacing the bannister and rear porch light). As we went along, Tony and I planned out the order of activities in order to allow me to occasionally go into the office, and still live in the house while it was under construction, without interrupting their flow of work. Danise helped out with choosing the furniture and rugs for the library and living room, including one morning spent at Home Comforts trying to coordinate wall paint with accent paint with furniture fabric colors with a painting in the living room.
All the work was done by Tony and his "network" of employees and sub-contractors. To a man, everyone was friendly, professional and competent. Either Tony or Danise was present to supervise and/or field questions at all times. The workers cleaned up at the end of each day, and always left the house livable over the weekends. By my recollection, there were never fewer than two people working, usually three, and at times up to five, all doing their separate tasks together or in parallel. The workers were always on time.
The payment schedule we agreed to was $10,000 up front, another $7,000 at the halfway mark, and the balance on completion. By the time we got halfway done, I had no concerns about the quality of the work done, or the commitment to complete the project.
The work, which was scheduled for 4-5 weeks, was completed in 3 1/2 weeks, even given the extra tasks, and a suspicious "hump" in the living room floor which had to be smoothed out before the laminate flooring could be installed. Danise and I walked through the house twice with a punch list of touch-up work (mostly fixing drywall irregularities highlighted by the new paint and caulking). The final bill came to $25,083, with the difference from the estimate consisting only of the extra items I had requested (and those were itemized out in the same bill format as the original estimate).
Tony and Danise are wonderful people who are genuinely interested in doing the job right and satsfying the customer (even when the customer doesn't know what he wants). I can't recommend them and RCN highly enough. I would use them again in a heartbeat, if they had not already done everything I needed! :)
"Dear Member, Thank you for taking the time to review us on Angie's List. We appreciate your business and enjoyed working with you to create a beautiful, new space. Please keep us in mind for possible future projects."
