Churchill Glass & Mirror

This was a tough project, and several other companies claimed they couldn?t do it, and even Steve wasn?t sure, but he said he?d be happy to come out and have a look.

When Steve arrived, he quickly assessed that a piece was missing, searched the internet to find the right unit, and then called his distributor and ordered the part.  Awesome!  He said he would come by the next Friday to install and would meet me at 9am with the part. 

When that Friday came, I was on my way to the house to meet him, and at 8:30, mid-traffic, he called me and said the part didn?t come in, and that he?s have to reschedule until the following Monday.  The reason I?m giving 4 stars rather than five, is because of his communication.  I mean, couldn?t he have called me the night before to tell me this?  I had scheduled my whole morning around meeting him, and then he just cancelled.

The second poor communication came after he installed the door (again, he did a good job).  At the end of the job we asked if he would replace the plastic piece at the bottom, and he said he didn?t have it on him but could get it and bring it back the very next morning.  He suggested we pay him in advance for it and promised he?d return in the morning to install.  So we paid him.

The next morning he didn?t come, and he didn?t call.  After several messages to him, he finally called the next day and said he got tied up on a job but would come that day to install.  He finally did, but, again, communication was poor. 

So ? good job, but?

The name of the company we used was Churchill Glass & Mirror. The owner is Steve Churchill.  They were relatively very expensive. I would definitely recommend them. When they did the shower, we had the frame-less shower put it, which is thick glass and getting rid of all the contractor grade showers and stuff. My wife thought that she viewed a scratch in one of the glass panels and she called them on that. He promptly came out and looked at it. He even had another panel which has to be all custom cut made when he came out but he didn't need to use it because it turned out that it wasn't a scratch, some sort of mark. We had another problem with the door adjustment initially and he came out and fixed that very promptly. I would definitely recommend them. The quality was top notch. They were very responsive. They said when they would come out and be there and that is when he was. They did a good job. I will use them again in the future but I don't want to have to do it again.

Very easy process, great price and install was very easy. Steve came out sized ordered and installed in 2 weeks.

Everything went good with them, no problems at all. The work was done very efficiently and professionally. The job looked very good once it rose. The price was fine.

I think they had a good rating. They were convenient. We were impressed by what they told us. We were happy with the service they have provided. The price was fair. We paid $600 extra because trying to rush the job.

Steve was exceptional and honest about what he thought. He did not want to replace the same doors with the manufacturer that was originally installed when the house was built because it was substandard. When we bought the house we ask that the paint that was flacking from the metal around the shower doors, be taken care of. One year later it was rusting and unable to close. We most appreciated Steve's honesty in not being willing to just patch the problem. We now have frameless doors that are lovely and easier to clean.

Strange. Very strange.

To make a long story short... Had a problem with a new bathroom cabinet. Mirrors should have been installed with the cabinetry and were not. Called Steve, he came and measured, then delivered the mirrors. Mirrors needed further cutting to install. Called Steve back. Call returned over a week later. Promised to call with an update later that day.

Numerous messages left. Never heard from him again. (Work completed promptly by another company).

They were very professional. They were able to accomodate what I wanted and the glass that they installed was exactly what I was looking for. They were prompt and efficient as well.

Contacted a window manufacturing and installation company from the phone book. That company recommended Churchill Glass for what was a relatively small household job. Glad that Churhill was the recommendation. Quick to respond and quick to visit home and give estimate. As soon as ordered glass was received, Steve Churchill set instillation appointment to which he arrived promptly. Windows which are perfect match to originals were quickly and properly installed. Friendly, professional and well done job in 30 minutes.

Their professionalism, promptness and honesty stood out to me. They were friendly and overall excellent in everything they did.

I called Steve Churchill because his company was listed as a retailer and installer of a pivot type shower door that came in the narrow width I needed. We agreed on a price and he gave me an approximate date. He required no down payment. The door arrived at his business in that time window. We scheduled an appointment for him to come and do the work. He arrived on time, did the job, and was paid exactly what he said the job would cost. He left the bathroom spotless.

The job went smoothly. Steve Churchill has a small business, just himself and one helper. He is honest, professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and does a good job. We liked the fact that you deal with just one person from start to finish - Steve. He came out to our house, took measurements, made recommendations for the type of shower enclosure that would work best for us (semi-frameless) based on the size of our shower, answered all of our technical questions, and gave us an estimate. His price was lower than other estimates we received. After hiring him, he ordered our unit and when the enclosure came in, he noticed that the supplier had made a mistake, so he returned the unit, got the order corrected, and called us to re-schedule installation, with only a two day delay in installation. We were impressed that he checked the unit out before bringing it to our house to install. Steve and his helper came back to do the installation, which went smoothly. The new shower enclosure is beautiful. Steve knows his business and does the job right the first time. He is very conscientious about doing a good job. The price break-down was as follows: Shower enclosure and installation (including removing old enclosure) $1142.00; we opted to pay extra to get a C-handle on the door, which we felt was more attractive, for $120; also opted to get the EnduroShield coating on the inside of the glass for $200 (10 yr warranty), which makes the enclosure easier to keep clean. The final total cost we were charged, $1462, was the exact amount of the estimate. We were very pleased with our experience and would recommend this company to others. The reason we gave a B grade on responsiveness was that we called the office phone number and left a message to get a status update on our job. We did not get a reply. However Steve called a week later to schedule installation. It is probably better to keep in touch with him through email or his cell phone being as he has a small business.
