 + -1 moreI made an appointment for an estimate. The guy came to the house and measured the yard. He asked all of the questions you would expect and even made good suggestions. I said I wanted vinyl so he said prices fluctuate and he'd email me the estimate when he got back to the office. Weeks went by with no email so I called again. He said he was waiting for an answer from the supplier and he'd get ahold of them and get the estimate to me asap. Another couple weeks went by and now he doesn't even answer the phone anymore. All I get is a message saying his mailbox is full so I can't even leave a message. I understand if it's out of your hands but at least have enough professionalism to pick up the phone and let me know what's going on.

 + -1 moreRoy came out, gave and gave us an estimate, and the project was started 10 days later. The two gentlemen who came out and installed the posts double checked all the details and the design to ensure posts were placed correctly. We have some blueberry bushes close to the fence line and they were very careful not to damage them. Two other gentlemen came out and installed the fence. We had a couple concerns but they listened and fixed the issues before moving on. The fence looks amazing and we are extremely pleased with the outcome. The only negative with the experience is that he didn't call to let us know he was going to be delayed. Installation of the posts was started a day late and installation of the fence was delayed 4 days. The workmanship is awesome and all that was left when the job was complete was the fence, there was no debris or garbage left behind.
Description of Work: Installed an extremely solid wood and wire farm fence with 1 single gate, 1 double gate, and one arbor with a single gate.

Description of Work: They were low bid and had put up alot of the neighborhood fences so we went with them. In the winter of 2014 we installed a pool and was told our fence did not meet county code. I called the office to inquire if fence would've been built differently if I had mentioned that we were considering a pool, which I do believe I did, but never received a return call. When we started to make the necessary modifications to meet code, we started finding crooked boards, boards not nailed down, boards not evenly spaced, which meant we had to rethink the modifications. After several months our fence finally meets code. I would not use them again because I have no need to, but a neighbor used them and made sure, after seeing the aggravation we were going through, that their fence was built to county code since they were thinking about a pool also.

 + -1 moreVery pleased with Assurance!! We hired them after seeing the fence they installed at our neighbor's home. We hired Assurance to install a black aluminum fence (wrought iron look). When the crew showed up and began work on the post holes, they discovered a significant number of tree roots which prevented them from using equipment (machinery) to dig the holes. We were originally told the fence would be completed in 2 days. The owner himself showed up to hand dig each post hole to keep true to original installation time. Professional crew who performed quality work. Highly recommend!!

 + -1 moreWork was great! Installed the fencing working with trees that were very close but could not be removed. Very even for the grade of the yard. My husband called Roy once we got approval from our homeowner's association. We were on vacation and when we came home ... it was up and looked great! One area close to the house was too wide for our smaller dog and they came out and fixed the problem right away. I would recommend Roy Lester and his family run business to anyone looking for an honest deal and was very informative of what cost and maintenance would be in the long term. Very important to consider in this area.

 + -1 moreIt went great. The family-owned operation consisted of two brothers doing most of the work, a nephew or cousin for a helper, and one of their wives answers the phone. Down home, good old boys, straight shooters, and my kind of folks. I will definitely deal with them again.
Description of Work: Built a new fence with several gates, one custom gate to accomodate a wide trailer. Better price than Andy's fence and better quality based on looking around my neighborhood at other fences by both companies. They put posts in the ground, came back several days later and put up most of the fence, then waited for a concrete pad to be poured and returned to finish the fence once it was in. No hassles, no delays. They told me there needed to be at least a several day wait between post-setting and finishing so the concrete could set properly and the fence line would remain truer. They were absolutley right. Another company came and did a neighbor's fence, set posts one day, returned a day later to finish, and within few days, there was a noticable waviness to thier fence. This after living here in Swansboro through several hurricanes my fence and the few others in the neighborhood built by them are the only ones that have escaped without need of any repair. They recommended the semi-privacy "shadowbox" fence for this reason and I have never regretted it. every solid fence around, and especially the expensive vinyl fences have all had panels or gates blown out.

 + -1 moreIt was not properly put up. They said it was my fault that it was not stained. When I asked them they told me to wait about a year. I was going to stain it when I was back home. My neighbor's fence is doing the same thing. They refuse the fix the issue. I have a double door where a truck could go through and it had sunk down. They did redid that, but gave a lot of lip about it and said they would make more adjustments to the fence, but never showed back up. It looks like something I could have done, not a professional. My neighbor's fence has the wood planks that go across and they have literally dropped. I have had other fence companies come look at my fence and they wont help fix it because Assurance Fence has used such poor quality materials and did not properly install the fence.
Description of Work: I had them put up a fence in 2008. I deployed at the end of 2008. I was at my home for 3 months of the fence. When I got home the fence has a wave effect.

 + -1 moreI was very satisfied with the company overall. The only problem was that they came out and put the posts in but it took two weeks for them to come out and finish. Thanksgiving was in the middle of that so I did understand.
