Jimmy did an excellent, thorough, professional job of painting our home. He patiently worked with us as we struggled to select "just the right color" for two of the rooms and the hallway. Jimmy actually recommended a color for the hallway that was perfect. It was truly a pleasure to work with Jimmy. He is not only professional and trustworthy, he is also responsive and accommodating. We believe that the cost for the job was very reasonable. I have recommended him to my friends and neighbors and will continue to do so.

I like Jimmy and want to give a good review, but truthfully there were some problems and we ended up hiring a different painter to come and do the outside after originally thinking Jimmy would do it. A couple of things we still need to get someone to come out and fix are a lock he removed on an exterior door that no longer works and some "can" light fixtures that were removed and now are dangling from the ceiling because the clips are broken. I was really pleased to see Jimmy and his crew painting so carefully, and so am mystified why all my windows are now painted shut. I sure would love to have fresh air on a day like today! I know nothing about paint, and so trusted his advice to use one coat of flat paint to save a bit on cost (he is quite expensive compared to others). Now I know that it was a disastrous choice. We have no way to clean handprints on low walls or even the steam print from cooking on the stove. And the bookshelf and dresser I had painted are completely chipped after less than 6 months. As I say, I really like the guy, but would not use his company again.

We were very pleased with this job. Mr. Stutts has one assistant and they worked very professionally. No outside sub-contracting. He came to give us an estimate very promptly after our call and advised that we used a drywall contractor for the major cracks and water-damaged areas; we did this and then got back to Mr. Stutts. He worked us into his schedule within a week or two after we let him know that the walls were ready to paint. Furniture was moved partly by us and partly by the painters as needed. They cleaned up after each day's work and always asked where to leave their equipment. The job was completed in 5 working days, with common agreement about Labor Day vacation and minor changes in schedules.

Overall I am quite pleased with Stutts Paint Co and gave them mostly 'A's. I would like to qualify the one 'B' I gave them (for price). While I have nothing to actually compare it to (other painters I called never bothered to call back) my guess is that if price is your deciding factor, you can probably find a cheaper painting company. However, I would be willing to bet that cheaper price would come with more headache. Working with Mr. Stutts was easy: he returned calls in a reasonable time frame; he showed up when he said he would; the project was complete within 2 weeks of his initial visit; he made suggestions regarding how to do a good job while minimizing the amount of work; he seemed concerned with doing the job right rather than just getting it done; he cleaned up nicely; he turned off lights when he was through (I can't even get my housemates to do that). In terms of the paint job, I'm certainly no expert but it looks good to me. Certainly better than I would have done. Certainly better than the last time I hired a painter and used low cost as a criteria (windows painted shut, etc.). Overall I think if you hire Stutts Paint Co you will get a top notch company at a fair, just probably not the lowest, price. In my mind the little extra cost was well worth the level of professionalism provided. I have more painting to do and as long as my budget holds out, I'll be looking to hire Mr. Stutts again.

Both projects went great! I was so impressed with Jimmy's commitment to making sure we were pleased. He and Jackie are very thorough and the work is exemplary. The rooms look soooo much better. Jimmy is thoughtful and conscientious.

I was 100% satisfied from start to finish. Jimmie Stutts and Jackie were very helpful with color suggestions, and were committed to being sure I liked the color(s), even if it meant trying additional samples, or changing a color. They prepared uneven areas and filled nail holes. Furniture was moved with care. They were punctual and left everything neat and clean (vacuuming etc), at the end of each day. It was a pleasure to have them in my home..very personable and considerate.

Mr. Stutts returned my voice mail message promptly, and arrived at the arranged time to estimate the job. He explained what he would do, when he could do the job, and provided what I considered a fair price. He and his associate arrived when scheduled, worked diligently and with care, and cleaned up each day. He provided color samples and proceeded with the job until we selected the colors we desired. They moved and covered all the large furniture items. We had removed breakables and smaller furniture items. They cleaned the area in completion and offered to replace the furniture, but we declined his offer as we indicated that we where planning to have the carpets cleaned the following day.

Jimmy and Jackie were very punctual, and on a day that they were going to be a few minutes late, they called to let us know. The floors and furniture were covered with drop cloths, and each area was vacuumed when they were finished. Both are VERY patient - the color I chose in one of the rooms did not turn out as I had planned. Five samples later, I ended up choosing a color that they suggested. Jimmy asked about my child's nap schedule and only moved the ladder (it is loud!) when he was awake - very much appreciated! We are very pleased with their work, and will defiantly contact them in the future. Excellent job.

Jimmy Stutts is fabulous! Not only did he return telephone calls as soon as possible, he also bent over backwards to start and complete our project before our move-in date. The finished product is beautiful, and he cleaned up after himself well. He and his assistant Jackie are friendly and professional, and their work is top-notch.

He did an excellent job. He was very professional, took out the screens and glass, made sure that there was no paint in the wrong places. He went out of his way to accommodate my schedule. I wanted the painting done before the moving truck arrived so he worked me in to his schedule. He painted in the evenings and worked when he was available.

HE DID ALL THE CLEAN UP AND HE WORKED VERY QUICKLY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GUY. HE GAVE ME A TIME FRAME AND FINISHED ON TIME. HE SHOWED UP ON TIME AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB.
