I smelled a burned plastic smell around 10 AM this morning (2/26) and found a scorched outlet. After taking the face plate off and cutting the wires to prevent it from starting a fire, I called Mike @ Orange County Electric. Got his voice Mail left a message. Mike called back within 15 minutes and said he could be out at 5:30 PM. He also told me to make sure the breaker was off to prevent an more problems. True to his word Mike arrived at 5:30 PM . He checked out the problem and fixed it quickly, also explained what had happen and ways to ensure that it would not happen again with other outlets. Mike has done work for me in the past and we have pasted his name and number to others. He does a great job and is consider of people homes. I will always call on Mike for my electric needs.

In 15 years, this guy, Mike Procopio is probably the best service guy I've ever had. He worked quietly, efficiently, great respect for our house and the kids and pets. He had to pull all the switches off the walls and lights out of the ceiling to finally find a short buried deep in the wiring. And because he was here most of the afternoon I expected a minimum bill of $400. When he looked at me and said, "Is $120 ok?" I almost fell over. For a job that difficult, done with such professionalism, and at such a price, I'll have this guy back for every electrical issue from now on.

I called him and he showed up the next day. He checked it and went through every one of the outlets that was on the breaker. He rewired them to make sure that had good connections. He said it may or may not work but if it didn't work to contact him. It did pop out one more time, I called him and he did come back the next day. He fixed it; he replaced the breaker, which is what he said probably would have to be done but he wanted to make sure. He fixed it all and since I've not had one bit of problem. He was very courteous. I've already recommended him to a dozen people. I think with all the materials that he put in to it, he charged me very reasonably. When he came back he replaced the breaker and never charged me any money. He said what he charged me was fine and I was shocked because he spent another hour here the next day. I will use him again.

Overall, this service call was great. Orange Countly Electric's Mike Procopio told me he would come on a certain day and time and that is when he arrived. He was polite, careful and a very nice person. He methodically went through all the potential sources of the light failure and even went to the crawl space to find the source of the problem. And he did! It was a faulty transformer located in the crawl space! He located the part and got the part right away, came back and replaced the faulty transformer with the new one. Now the lights work! I might add that Orange County Electrical fees were quite reasonable, too!
