7708My 2003 Yamaha 50-hp 4-stroke outboard motor was showing its age, with slow starts, missing at high RPM, and generally not being the fine machine that it was when I first owned it. Further, use in salt water caused corrosion in the steering cables, necessitating their replacement. Carl and his mechanics reviewed the situation, proposed work that would improve the situation, and provided an estimate of cost. I agreed to the proposed work, and left the boat/motor with them. They performed the work, tested the systems, pumped out the old fuel that had congealed in the tank, cleaned the carbs, replaced the corroded cables and the water pump and generally did a major check of the whole motor and controls. The old motor is new again, starts with the first turn of the key, the boat steers where you point it, and runs like a watch. Its great to have the power back for fast "hole shots" and high-speed runs down the lake.
