"We have owned this company since July 2011. We have only been to the customers residence on two occasions. On Dec 12, 2012, we pumped the customers septic tank and cleaned his filter. On Sept 6, 2013 (his post shows a work completion date of 4/15/13) we came out and ONLY cleaned the filter. Due to the filter being clogged on this day, the water level in the tank was very high and had to be pumped down just enough to get access to the filter, otherwise accessing the filter would be very difficult given it was completely submerged in water/septage. The only pumping that occurred was approx 100 gallons out of a 1000-1200 gallon tank to get the water level down to below where the filter was. This is per our company procedures to protect the health and safety of our employees to prevent them from having to come into contact with septage when at all possible. Outside of special circumstances, we do not nor would not try and tell someone that they have to pump their septic tank every year because as Mr. Arvik clearly states, this is not necessary. At no time was Mr. Arvik's septic tank "pumped" on this second visit nor was he ever charged with such. We apologize that [member name removed] did not get a phone call promptly returned after hours. We also agree and understand his frustration with such. Grading our company with an "F" in all categories for this alone is quite unreasonable. We strongly disagree with Mr. Arvik's version of the events that have taken place."

I came home after the work was done, found a huge hole in my front lawn, and a bill for $425.00. When I called the owner, he stated he needed to dig the hole, and pump another tank to complete the work. I asked if he did not feel it was appropriate to call the owner of the home first, explain what needed to be done before doubling the quote and digging a large hole that was to be left in the front lawn. He does not feel he needs to communicate with his customers since the county requires the work. I tried to explain the county may require the work, but the county does not own the property, and does not pay him, and he needs to communicate prior to doubling the quoted price, and digging up lawns without permission. I did misplace his bill, and did not recall his name since I did not call him initially, another company called him as part of the septic system repairs. I did not hear from him until I received a threatening letter that I was being taken to court. This owner is arrogant, feels that they can do whatever they want without asking permission because the county may want repairs done, so they can double estimates, not check with property owners, and then not communicate again until threatening to take someone to court. Mr. Riley knew my name and phone number, it was on the paperwork he brought to my home in order to take me to court, but he never made any attempt to communicate with me at any time. He stated this was the reason he did not call, but when I pointed this fact out, he had no excuse - he feels he can do whatever he wants without the homeowner's permission, including doubling the estimate, digging up the yard, and then taking them to court when he feels like it without ever making any attempt to contact the owner. I find him very arrogant thinking that it is okay to treat any property owner this way - digging up the yard without asking, doubling estimates without calling first, and then never attempting to contact the owner again about a bill until you are threatening to take them to court.
