We will never return and here is why: The building where classes are held is similar to a large aluminum barn with two rings inside.  Two classes were being held during our time slot one in each ring, so quite a few of dogs and people in a limited area.  A conversation began about my puppy and her issues and what to do about her growling/fear aggression.  I just drove 40 minutes to get to class and I was about to be kicked out due to the reason why I took the class in the first place...GROWLING. Next, George Beglane the pres.of the DKC (I believe that is what he said), came over and leaned down over my puppy and she growled again and George HIT my dog!  Not once BUT twice telling me to do the same!  And of course she kept growling at him for coming down over her and hitting her.  We do not hit our dogs thank you and will not patronize a "professional" training facility that pretends that this is the current method of dog training. After I had enrolled my puppy at DKC I ran into one of her old trainers at Costco.  She was horrified when I mentioned I was going to take some classes at DKC.  Immediately her hand went over her mouth and she said they are "old school."  But, I went to DKC anyway...well the word is out about DKC among the trainers in this town.  I am trying to help you all from having a poor experience like I did.  I have luckily, by chance, found my puppy's old trainer (and the Jack Russell she had a crush on from her first puppy class is still training)  all at a new facility...but now it is agility!
