This house was new construction. Stan Byrd's company had assisted an older lady in having the home built. His company handled all the contractors, permits,etc. After living in the house for several years, we noticed cracks in the wall in the living room, in a doorway and above cabinets in the kitchen. We hired a company to come check it out. He determined that there were no support piers under a load bearing wall between the living room and kitchen. If Stan had had this home properly inspected, this would not have happened to us and we would not have had to spend over $7000 in repairs.(This led to $16,000 more in paint and floor repair.) It was also discovered that the joists were not properly nailed into place either. This was due to poor management of the contractors and workers which was ultimately Stan Byrd's company's responsibility as they were acting as the builder/seller of this home. The woman who had the house built never lived in it...maybe she knew something we didn't.
