We were treated HORRENDOUSLY by the owner!! He left the job incomplete by overrunning one of the gutters to an unacceptable length, argued about it when we asked him to fix it, then demanded payment before the job was complete. He did the job on 7/4, billed us on 7/5 and started harassing us the following Monday claiming we were stalling and that he should be paid immediately. He didn't complete the job until 7/11. When I called him on 7/12 to let him know that I was ok with his corrections and that I would now be paying him he called me a deadbeat and threatened to put a lien on my property if I didn't pay him by 12p the following day. He also charged me for generator rental when there was an external outlet available to use. This guy treated us like we were never going to pay him or that we'd been withholding payment for more than 30 days. It was ridiculous how crude and unprofessional this person was. Speaking from experience, anyone who's ever been done wrong by construction workers knows never to pay until a job is 100% done and to your liking or else they'll never come back to finish. I've learned that lesson the hard way and tried to explain that to Mr. Gibbs but he felt it necessary to call me a deadbeat, threaten a lien on my property and then hang up on me. I will NEVER use him again and I will also make sure that everyone I know in the Triad North Carolina area knows about my experience.
