Brandon showed up the afternoon of the day prior to get the layout and general idea of what work would be needed for the scheduled appointment at 8am the next morning. After discussing about 15-20 mins with us about our desires and a general walk-thru the house to determine his resource needs, he left to arrive promptly at 8 the morning of our appointment. Brandon installed all appropriate wiring for four (4) rooms and hooked up our own wireless router to the Northstate system. During the installation we were patiently waiting for a pcked up television to be unloaded for him to test all the rooms installed. Once unloaded, Brandon confirmed signal to all rooms, and our internet services. The phone was also tested good, but to our knowledge, did not leave our new home phone number! This was taken care of by the Northstate customer service by a phone call the next day without issues or significant time lost waiting. Brandon was VERY professional and accomplished his work in an efficient and timely manner. I would definitely recommend to those in the area.

See above - we have complained for months. They called today and informed us that we are visiting sites all over the world - well, duh, isn't that what the net is for?? That should have no bearing on whether we have dead spots or not. Installed a security system today which cannot be completed until NS addresses the deadzone problem. Where are these people trained? Original installer refused to install MY modem and installed a 'Smartrg' which research shows to be subpar. Tech (today) suggested his refusal was due to our being scheduled to 'pay' rental fees. Apparently, I'd prefer being charged a rental fee? So. What do I do? I feel there must be a 'lock' of some sort on this development as no other company offers internet service here. We have 2 home offices and 2 college kids. Of course we have lots of computer equipment but can only connect in a small section of the house. We never had this problem in previous house and the real problem has never been addressed by the company. The investigation into our web use is really making me more angry.
Description of Work: AFter months of complaints provider continues to come up with excuses for our lousy connections all over the house. They actually invaded our privacy by checking into our internet activity when the issue is dead spots all over the house. Installer placed modem in corner of house behind electronic equipment when it should be in center of house. They tell us to BUY extenders when their modem is sub-par. We checked that we would use again because ONLY NS is apparently allowed in our neighborhood! Even our Dish service cannot offer us internet. Isn't this illegal? We're talking about a satellite here! Continuing to send emails, ordered decent modem and extenders myself. They had no right to check on where we go on the net or how many devices we have, but some of our devices won't even connect!
