I don't recall the exact price of the service, but I do remember it was a very fair deal.
I dropped my car off for the inspection and hung out at the Starbucks next door. The inspection went fairly quickly and I got the slip I needed to update my registeration for the 2013 year.
Nomatter the service, I like that Firestone offers complete auto service. Although I dropped my car off for an inspection for updated registration purposes, they check my tire pressure and do a general check of the car to make sure everything is working as it should since my prior visit. If anything is not, they make sure to bring it to my attention and have a clear cost in mind when they've detected an issue.
I didn't happen to have any other issues with my car at that time, but am confident if I did that they would have provided service to my satisfaction. The guys at the shop are always very courteous and professional!

The guys at the John Gordon Firestone always take such good care of me.  When I go for my periodic oil changes, they make it a point to let me know if there is an extra service expense coming up.  This way, I have time to budget for it. 
During an oil change in late 2012. the tread on two of my tires was wearing down and they let me know that I would have a few months to get in for a replacement set.  They always help me find the best product to meet my needs and don't try to push a product that is much more expensive than what is necessary for my auto needs.
One perk of having all four tires purchased through Firestone is that they offer tire rotation during your periodic visits at no extra cost.  Regardless of which tires are purchased through them, they proactively check the health of the tires such as the tread and the tire pressure.  If the tire pressure requires adjustment, they address it at no extra charge. I think my purchase was around $100.
I go to the John Gordon Firestone for all my auto needs.  They do such a great job at taking care of all the basic services like oil changes and tire rotation and are always so courteous and professional that I know when something major happens I will get the same courtesy and excellent service.

The "check engine" light was on in my car, so I brought it to Firestone at John Gordon in High Point to get it checked out.  I have had such a pleasant experience with the guys at this particular shop that I bring my car to them for every service from oil changes to new tires.  They've always been pleasant, professional and keep my car running right, so I knew I was doing the right thing by brinigng my car to them to check to see what was going on.
I love that this location is so close to Starbucks. I can drop my car off, and walk over for coffee while Iet the guys at the John Gordon Firestone take care of my car.  When they need to touch base with me or let me know my car is ready, they make a quick call and I can walk right back over.
It turns out that a sensor was broken and required replacement.  If I didn't take my car in, I wouldn't have known that it was not safe for me to continue driving with that broken part and if I did, it could have resulted in additional and much more expensive damage.  They didn't have the part in the shop, but were able to get it ordered and installed by the next day so that I can get back to my normal routine right away.       
All of the guys at the shop are great.  If you ever get to speak with Jason Carter, one of the shop managers, you'll know right away that he has a geniune concern for the well-being of your car and that he understands the impact that auto complications can have on day-to-day living.  He was the person who needed to deliver the news to me, which I am sure is common for their business.  It must never be easy to tell someone they have a couple hundred dollars of work required, but it is this proactive and honest approach that helps people like me to have a car that runs safely year after year.
As an extra nice incentive, they check and adjust the tire pressure for my car as necessary and rotate my tires at no additional cost since I purchased all four of my tires through them in the past.  I would expect most shops to charge anytime a finger is lifted, and I just love how they take care of little extras like this that really do make an impact on the overall long term performance of the vehicle.
Most times I visit the shop, I don't need any work done; though, I am glad that they always check to see if they can alert me to prepare for an expense that is coming up down the line like work on my brakes, new wipers (I always forget to change them!) or new tires.  Because theyr'e so good at the basics, I know I can trust them when more major repairs are required and am thank ful to have one team who knows me that I can go to for my ongoing auto needs.
