Aside from the vague scheduling window ("sometime between noon and six p.m."), everything went well. The service technician was very polite, and carefully listened to what I had tried to do to remedy the problem before calling for service. As I watched him work on the outside unit, he explained what the various components were, and their functions, as well as what the probable causes would likely be. He also performed a thorough visual inspection of the entire unit, as well as a pressure test for refrigerant. Turned out that it was just a loose wire and, before I could express my relief, the house was filling with cold air. Before the technician left, he made it clear that if anything else cropped up within 60 days, I would not be charged for an additional service call. Overall, very pleased.

Their quality is okay, I would give them an A for quality. I probably wouldn't use them again in future.

Comfort First worked to schedule an appt with my tenant as they are the ones that will be there. They showed up when scheduled and stated that they would need to do a leak test to find the leak. That would be $218 in addition to a visit charge. I said to go ahead and do that. I also provided my card information over the phone for payment on the quoted amount. When they went out to the site as scheduled, they filled the unit with refrigerant and noticed a pinhole in the coil. They contacted me and said that they decided to 'comp' me the leak test and the 5lbs of refrigerant would be somewhere around $520 (I honestly don't remember). They also quoted the price of the coil replacement around $1,500 in addition to the refrigerant. This is too much so I did not authorize the repair. I was also astonished that a company such as this would agree to a price and then go out and do something else other than what was discussed and charge $200+ more. This immediately put their honesty in question so I had them go out and reclaim the refrigerant. They agreed to charge me what we originally discussed. I had a different company come out the day the refrigerant was reclaimed and I am having the coil replaced a refrigerant topped off for 15% of what Comfort First wanted to charge!! This, for one reason, is because my entire system is still under manufacture warranty and I assume Comfort First never checked. Though every person I spoke to was pleasant, due to their business model of severely overcharging and not doing the job they are supposed to do, I can say I will never do business with Comfort First again. I will also share this information with those I know looking for an A/C company in the area.

I got the $49 deal for routine maintenance on our old air conditioner which we had never used since purchasing our home 3 years ago. It cools our FROG and we currently only use it for storage. I was amazed at how detailed the tech was in performing the service. Our old unit is just like New now. The technician Chris Frank is amazing. Do yourself a favor and make this your Go To company for all your heating and cooling needs.

No problem with the insta]lation and service within a year. Problem was getting maintenance response and service after the 2nd and 3rd years. Appears they prefer to install and not service long term..
Response from Comfort First Heating & Air
"Thank you for taking the time to review our company. We apologize for not being able to respond to your request more timely. We have been short staffed in the service side of the business for quite some time. Efforts to hire an additional experienced service tech has not been successful to date."
