Jody talked with me at first, asking me what I was willing to do, asking how long I wanted to spend on my hair in the mornings, what kind of products I was willing to wear. Well, I was looking for low-low maintenance with as little product as possible. I thought that I'd either have to go short or grow my bangs out. But she had a totally new idea for a shortish cut with long layers that let me keep my bangs and low-maintenance approach.
I love my new do! And I get compliments all the time. I'm so happy that I gave Jody a try. I hope she doesn't mind, but I now consider her my personal stylist :) I highly recommend!

TrendSetters is a small salon which offers both hair stylists and manicurists. Based on the prior reviews in Angie's list, I booked an appointment. I wanted this done for a special luncheon I was attending the following week out of town. Tom, owner, made my appointment with Kim who was experienced in doing Shellac Pedicures. However, she had to cancel the day before due to illness. Tom went out of his way calling me several times to reschedule so I could have done before I left town.
Kim was able to fit me the following week. I brought in the color of my dress and she took time to find the perfect march. I chose to have a wet (soaking my feet etc) prior to the shellac pedicure. It was refreshing, nice warm water. Kim shaped up my feet and the pedicure turned out very professionally done.
The manicure was also great. As I am letting my nails and quot;goand quot; for the summer, Kim just shaped and put clear polish on.
The studio is very clean and the owners plus Kim very friendly and professional. Will definitely use again this summer while we are here in Hendersonville. I have had trouble finding a salon that does Shellac Pedicures which are the only way to go as they last forever without chipping. Kim knows what she is doing.

Moved to Hendersonsonville in 2004. After looking for a men's hair stylist for 3 years with limited success, I found one that could cut my hair the way I wanted ... sort of. Stayed with my current stylist for several years, but always wondered if there might be someone out there who could cut it more to my liking. That 'someone' turned out to be Jody at Trendsetters.
Did not have a personal referral to go on, or much information about Jody or Trendsetters, but since it is so close to where I live, I thought I'd begin my search with Trendsetters and move on from there if I had to. No need. The search started with Trendsetters and ended with Trendsetters ... and with Jody.
She knew exactly how to cut my hair the way I wanted it. Not the 4th. time around, nor the 3rd., nor even the 2nd. ... but the first! I've never had anyone ... anywhere ... cut my hair so perfectly the very first time. Amazing. Shows how skilled and experienced she is. She's also a very pleasant person which makes it even better.
For a price of only $19 for a man's cut ... and getting the highest quality in a cut, service, and atmosphere ... you just can't do any
better. Of course, most clients are women, but men need to know about Trendsetters, too. Was told they opened for business 9 years ago. While others have come and gone during that time, Trendsetters is still here. That's says a lot all by itself. I give Jody, Tom, and everyone at Trendsetters my highest recommendation. So will you.

I've been going to see Jody Fink for a few years now. She and her husband, Tom Fink, recently took ownership of the existing salon, Trendsetters. They have created a customer oriented salon. They immediately recognize when someone comes in the salon and offer refreshment. Jody is a great stylist. She listens very carefully to what I tell her I want. My husband gets his hair cut there too and is always happy with the results. Their clientele vary from young to old, men and women alike. I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else.
