Simpson said the water heater was leaking and replaced it at an extremely high cost. The leak, which was coming from a water pipe leak in the wall right next to the water heater and should have been seen when they were inspecting for the leak because the dry wall was visibly soggy and water logged, was “discovered” after the water heater was installed. It has taken weeks for a competent repair company to dry the walls and floors. While Simpson said the water heater was leaking, it was only five years old and I question whether it really was needed. Too late now to do anything but take their word, but I am suspicious. And I feel their charge for installation was excessive. L

It's with a heavy heart that i submit this horrible, yet honest review about a company owned and run by folks i considered friends for over 20 years. I have several properties and they were always helpful and knowledgeable when it came to pumping jobs. My mistake was to think that would translate well to a somewhat complicated system replacement design and install. Although Michael is knowledgeable about the technical aspects of systems and equipment, his management skills are very much lacking. Poor communication and bad advice about what to expect caused me to lose rental income at the service site. Allowing workers to dump debris across a clearly marked property line, apparently to save time, not reconnecting gutter downspouts and telling me that he did, was really hard to believe. They also installed outflow pipes above ground, exposed to freezing temps and system crash, all of which I had to pay others to repair. They also cut clearly marked utility lines. When I documented my grievances, Michelle, the "heir to the throne" did not even bother to read it, and subsequently filed a mechanics lien on the property. Unbelievable. Now I have to legally fight former friends for an equitable end to this nightmare. My advice, pumping and small jobs yes, grade A. Beyond that, better keep looking.

The crew arrived a bit late, but were done very quickly. My husband had uncovered both entrances to the tank so all they had to do was pump the tank and replace the covers. I was very impressed with the professionalism and helpfulness of the crew. I have been on septic in many houses since 1986 and the gentleman that arrived schooled me in several areas that will help keep my septic running smoothly for a long time. I was not aware that the filter should be cleaned every year, or that I shouldn't use bleach in large quantities. He also advised on how to inexpensively add bacteria to the tank without using expensive products like "Rid-X." I had originally called someone else to do the job who did not show and then I called Simpson's. I[m so glad I eventually used them. Professional, helpful, and their rate was better as well. Thanks, Simpson, for doing a great job!

Same as last year, they did a great job.  We called and as luck would have it they were available within an hour.  Professional and courteous, took less than an hour.  We will use them again for our next service.

I last used them 2 years ago, because you only need to have it done 2 to 4 years. They cleaned up the mess they made. We have used them for the past 10 years.

They were on time, did their job, and left.  Worked in a timely and professional manner.  They  provided service to this property for previous owner in the past so were familiar with our home.

We got a couple of estimates for the job, Simpson's had the better price and good reviews and referrals.  They came out to start the job the day after we called to say we'd like to go with them.  Everyone at Simpson's has been very nice. The job is now waiting for us for the next step so it is not yet complete but we are pleased so far.

We took their advice and purchased the very septic pump that they recommended, for $1300.00 including installation. They told use that the old pump was cheap- no wonder it only lasted 10 years. We were told that this new pump is a high quality pump, that will last much longer. The installation went great! Although the new pump quit after only 3 years. They came out to fix it; the float was hung and they replaced the float, at our expense. It worked again, only for less than 1 year. They came out and said the problem was an accumulation of grease in the pump and they cleaned it out. It still wasn't working and they cut out part of the old float mechanism that they thought was causing the new float to hang-up and not rise properly. With it still not working- they re-wired the pump. Still not working- they recommended we buy a new pump for $1300.00. We immediately turned  to the manufacturer directly and sent them pictures of it inside and out. We checked everything they told us to check, but all this to no avail. It has never worked properly since that time and it's been about 1 year now. Needless to say, all of this difficulty negates the great installation. We have to manually trip the switch to activate the pump. Thankfully we have a pump alarm that tells us when this needs to be done...while doing the laundry, showers, dishes and all. Since the pump works properly when we manually trip the switch, we have scheduled an appointment with an electrician to look at it. It's our opinion that the service technician did all he knew to do or what was allowed by the owner. The owner seemed uncommitted, difficult to work with, evasive and unsympathetic to the problem at all.
We will not do business with them again and definitely will not recommend them to anyone.

We have a vacation rental property which was being cleaned right after the previous guests checked out at noon today, a Saturday. Our next guests were due at 3 PM. The cleaning crew discovered the only toilet in the property was clogged. Vigorous use of a plunger didn't help. I'm confined to a wheelchair and couldn't assist. Our regular plumber was out of state. So I called Simpson's Plumbing and they agreed to come out within the hour, which they did. They unstopped the toilet within 5 minutes.  They then gave me a bill for $250.

After they left I called around and got quotes for a Saturday daytime call of this nature which range from $75 to $145. I am definitely at fault for not asking for the price before hand. But I feel Simpson's took advantage of my disability and need for quick service and charged way more than a reasonable amount for this task. I would not trust them to be fair in the future.
