Scott took time to understand what was needed for a very difficult stairwell and stairs. He took extra time to get the stairs sanded, calked and prep right. The results were so much better than expected and the workmanship is top notch. I have contracted his crew to come back and pressure wash, stain and trim the exterior of my whole house this spring. Can't wait for the results!

Scott came with the crew each morning, worked with them on a few days, otherwise checked in again at the end of each day. Truly great work; never seen better. Removed all plates and attached fixtures; taped edges well; cutting in at ceilings was great, even on a 3-story staircase; moved furniture back and forth with no damage to furniture or house; no paint splashes. At the end of each day, walked through with Scott and he or I caught the 1 or 2 omissions/ drips made that day. Fixed first thing the following morning.

Very pleasant crew – each worked consistently and well, pleasant for retired folks to have around all day. All pressure washing and interior (incl clerestory ceiling, some new construction, furniture moving in each room) done in 5 days, as scheduled. Kept dodging rain on exterior, but great caulking and done as quickly as possible.

We can't say enough good things about Scott and his crew. From the beginning, Scott provided us with a detailed estimate, which included two coats of paint while many other contractors only provided for one coat. He emailed or called if there was a date change (this being an extremely wet year, painting didn't begin on the original date). We were always kept informed. The workers were at our home early each morning for the two weeks of this job and worked till 5p, taking a lunch break on-site. A problem was found with a rotting window sill 20' off the ground (windows at the widow's peak of the home) was. Scott recommended another contractor (from Angie's list) with whom he had worked, so we were able to get that corrected while the painting was ongoing. The quality of their work is outstanding. Looks like we have a brand new home! The job was inspected and property cleaned up prior to their departure. We would definitely hire Scott again and highly recommend his work.

When we roofed over our huge deck last summer, we didn't realize the untreated ceiling wood would attract carpenter bees. After contacting the exterminator and the county ag agent, Scott from Sand K came out to consult and give us an estimate. He gave us the same advice as the bee experts--fill the holes, prime, and two coats of paint, not stain.
His estimate included all paint, material, and labor at a very reasonable price. He kept in touch in person, by phone and email, and provided careful workers who had a ton of cutting in to do because the metal roof was not to be painted. It proved to be very time-consuming work, but the workers remained pleasant and Scott did not alter his original estimate.
The finished job was carefully inspected, clean-up was thorough, and they even helped move the some heavy items back on the deck before leaving. All in all, it was a pleasure to do business with this company.
