Perry Robinson

Perry is a very nice person and loves clocks. He is really accommodating and I trust him with "my baby".

Perry cleaned and adjusted so that it is running like it was 25 yrs ago. All in less than a week and for a very reasonable price.

I removed the clock mechanism from the case and took it to Mr. Robinson. The clock had been in storage for eight years and I figured that it should be cleaned and lubricated. When I picked it up and reinstalled it into the clock case, it ran perfectly and kept perfect time. The only adjustment needed was to synchronize the moon dial. He is a gentleman and a pleasure to deal with.

We have a 34+ year old modest grandfather clock that finally stopped running. Got Mr. Robinson's name from the owner of Tic-In-Time in Asheville after a somewhat less than encouraging call to another area repair shop. Within a week or so of first speaking with him Mr. Robinson came to our house and spent over an hour taking the clock apart, assessing the problem and actually got it running again without the need for any new parts (an unexpected but welcome surprise). He also took the time to re-adjust and re-align all the interactive parts once it was going...performing a full service repair and service call.
He also gave us an honest appraisal of the likelihood of the need for future work on this non-heirloom quality clock and the likely (very reasonable) costs we would incur if/when it stops again since it is already past it's expected lifespan. AND he called the next day to make sure everything was still working as well as when he left it.
His charge for all of that was less than half of what the other service said they charge just to pick the clock up...at which point it would be put it in line to be looked at, which they said would take 2-3 months. THEN they would call with the cost to fix it which they said would routinely run at least the same again as the pick-up fee, plus parts.
As I said at the start, we could not be happier with Mr. Robinson's service and highly recommend.

grandfather clock and performed the necessary periodic maintenance in about an
hour. He was very flexible in scheduling
a time to do the work. He was very
friendly and I will certainly call upon him again when I need clock maintenance
or repairs in the future.

He did great work and I am glad the clock is working.
