I initially got bids from 2 different electricians and decided to go with KS Electrical.  All contact with Ken was very easy and everything went smoothly.  He showed up on the day as scheduled although he became sick and ended up having to leave early.  He returned a few days later and completed the electrical rough in.  He finished the rough-in on time and did a good job of minimizing holes he had to put in the existing drywall ceiling to run new lights.  Also, the holes he did put in to run new wiring were done cleanly and were square which made them very easy to patch when I later completed all of the drywall.  It took me a couple of months to get the project complete enough for Ken to come back and finish since i was doing most of the work by myself, but once I was ready Ken returned and finished everything just as we had originally discussed.  He had to install can lights into a sloped cathedral ceiling which was a little tricky since there was only a 6" cavity, but he did a great job and the cans look nice in the spaces.  Overall I'm very pleased with the work done and I would definitely use him again if I need any electrical work done.

Ken was prompt, provided a free estimate and did the work quickly and was very affordable.  Overall excellent experience.

Ken showed up on time, communicated well, charged a
reasonable price, worked hard, and got the jobs done as I had hoped.  He installed a new external light fixture,
ran a new electrical line to 2 external lamps that had not been working,
installed a new external GFI plug, installed a long Ethernet cable between
floors of my home, and checked some circuits. He ran into a couple of
unexpected problems but accepted those as challenges. In fact, he solved one
problem at a reasonable price that another electrician wouldn?t take on because
he thought it would cost lots and was beyond his capability.

Electrician was professional and competent. Initial work began with rough in of all areas which met our expectations. Final installation and finish work were completed to our expectations. Only concern was that job was "fit" in between others and so scheduling was not necessarily at our convenience or as quickly as we would have liked.

After interviewing several electricians, I selected Ken of KS electric to install a sub junction box for me in my unfinished basement after the original builder left me with a full panel and only one receptacle in my basement. I liked Ken because he was first and foremost on time (exactly), communicated well by phone, and was just very easy to talk to and get clear answers from while also being reasonable with his rates. He was obviously very knowledgeable and explained what was the best way forward while also presenting options for my consideration.

While I had him there I availed myself to ask some questions about other problems I was having and he took the time to look at them, one in particular was a loud fan on a bathroom shower that my wife hates. I was surprised that he instantly came back with a solution where I did not need a costly replacement but that there was an inexpensive retro fan kit available from any home improvement store  that I could do myself in about 10 minutes. Or, of course he would be happy to do it in addition to the panel but he felt that it was really simple and I should save myself the extra money; I liked that he did not put any pressure on me and gave me a good alternative instead of a higher bill.

We agreed on the size panel and a date; he was again on time and ready to go, letting me know that he had found a package combination deal on some parts which would lower the original estimate a bit; right before Christmas, that sounded pretty good to me. He was pleasant, efficient, and thorough. He checked every circuit that he had to change or create and made sure that everything was working perfectly and was completely safe. He left the new panel professionally dressed and closed up properly and fully cleaned up behind himself as if he had never been there.

It was a very painless and even pleasant experience and I feel that I have found ?my electrician? for things that I plan to do in the future.

I called KS Electrical's owner, Ken Smith, this morning and he was at my house within an hour to give an estimate. He gave a very fair quote on installing a 220 circuit for our dryer and AC. He was $700 cheaper than the larger company's electrical quote I received yesterday. Will definitely call him again with any electrical problems, big or small. He was super professional, cleaned up after himself, and showed up when he said he would be here!

Kenneth changed a ceiling fan and 2 light fixtures. He was quick to respond to my call. He was able to come out later that day for an estimate.He arrived on time the next for installation. Kenneth was very courteous and professional. I would use his services again and recommend him highly.
